These are hateful. I bought them thinking they would be perfect for work, and they rub twenty bazillion blisters every time I wear them.
Old ATSF 500 class B40-8Ws are definately not common material on the Thayer North Sub these days. Thank goodness for MofW projects! BNSF 521 doesn't look too bad leading a U-WSGCAK empty ballast train towards Springfield. I believe the ballast comes out of a quarry at Clark, OK.

That is not exactly how I run a business, but sure I can appreciate the coincidence right before Christmas and a brand new year, specially that expanding my business is now the main focus in my life.
I found it last week in a very low budget chinese restaurant in downtown Vancouver. Please do not ask me how I ended up there, it was mostly peer pressure.

I had posted frequent photos of my granddaughter on the wall outside my office cube. My coworkers, who passed by my cube every day, became quite a fan club, demanding frequent updates and additions to the photo collection. It was a bit sad to have to take all the photos down now that I am leaving, but I promised the folks that I would send periodic updates.
On the way home from work I saw on a small lake that a seagull continued to attack a coot. And suddenly I saw two little chicks which I was sure that the seagull would eat for dinner. So I waved my arms to give the chickens a little chance to live a few more days ... The next half hour the seagull attacks me again and again as it was really mad that I had saved its supper. Eventually I just wanted to see if the chickens were well and then I discovered that it had never been coot chicks, but of course was the seagulls own chicks ...! So the seagull had every right to be mad at me! I just felt really stupid! Both chicks, the seagull and the coot are doing well :-) And I've learned not to interfere in nature's natural course ;-).
In Oslo they've printed and framed that famous story about me inventing the word net.art. Unfortunately this is just a myth invented by Alexei Shoulgin and is in itself one of the best pieces of net.art around. Pit Schultz first thought of net.art as a word and applied it to my work, and Alexei's and Heath's and Jodi's. He also did the first ever net.art show in Bunker in Berlin with us all plus (I believe) Luxus.
