Used a fiber reactive dye and set the dye in the microwave. Nothing scientific here, I was in too much of a hurry.

300 yards, not sure of weight--bump was 5 ounces, I have another 100 yards of yarn from it that I haven't finished yet.
BFL or Wensleydale/Masham mix. Not sure anymore...
I've spun here and there, just trying to get the hang of the thing, but this is the first that I've spun entirely and plied. I figured out the yardage, but I've since forgotten. It's one big skein and a little (bobbin got too full to ply all of it at once)
This dyer used to run a larger indie dying business and I just discovered she is now selling on etsy.

Christmas socks are done. A little late, but done. My own creation, mostly.
Needles: US 1
Yarn: Socks that Rock mediumweight in Hollyday colorway
Pattern: Basic top-down construction. 72 stitches around. 12 stitch repeat - 10 stitches in herringbone surrounded by purls.
I was heavily inspired by these socks, but since I didn't have the book yet, I kind of reverse engineered them with the help of my handy stitchionary.
Very pale tan/yellow. I think something went wrong in either mordanting or dyeing. Using white undyed wool for contrast.
190 yds, 2.5 oz BFL. This is half of the fiber. The other half is waiting to be spun The one barberpole bit you see near the top was just the leftovers - some pink I had to cut off earlier due to one ply being longer than the other, with leftover navy blue on the other ply. The rest is pretty evenly matched. I'm happy with my first attempt at striping yarn.
