for Little J's new slippers

finished 3-ply. so smooshy and soft. 375 yards, 4 oz.

Brilliant colors in a traditional wool factory in Chinchero, Peru.

Knitting with Rowan big wool (yellow, black, blue) and a couple of other yarns

Must have lost the tags somewhere. It looks like mostly wool with a little angora or mohair.

Cotton with shredded blue jeans fiber carded in, if I'm remembering the fiber correctly.

50% wool - 50% silk

Mallard overdyed with lemon yellow and moss green Wilton color.

4ply sock yarn-so shiny

These headbands feature wool blossoms accented with beads.

 

The felted wool flowers are made using a Sizzix machine. I cut the petal layers from felted wool from upcycled wool garments.

 

I covered the headbands with coordinating hand dyed wool stitched with the blanket stitch. Then the flowers were attached.

One whole and one partial 50 gram skein of Jo Sharp Tweed yarn. 100% wool. DK weight.

100 % wool Eskimo by Drops/Garnstudio.

Four skeins: light and dark turquoise, light blue and white.

Wool and silk make a superb blend. The Merino wool gives the yarn body, softness, and warmth, the silk adds sheen and depth.
