Grey wolf. Parc Omega, Quebec, April 13, 2019.
A side trip after seeing the massed snow geese.
This is a captive animal. Sorry for any confusion.
Parc Omega is a safari park in Quebec, Canada, with a 12-kilometre nature driving route.
With an estimated population of only 30 individuals, i was treated to a rare sight of the largest predator in Denmark.
A stunningly beautiful animal.

This mottled fellow was about 30-40 yards away from us in an enclosed preserve in north central Wisconsin-- canis lupis, aka Timber Wolf or Western Wolf, the only pure North American species, it turns out, because its cousin, the Red Wolf, seems to be part Coyote. Wolves are commonly seen in northern Wisconsin/Minnesota and throughout southern Canada!
