A tan-coloured coastal wolf cub, born in the spring, so around 4 months old, walking through the shore grass along a small tidal stream, NE Hecate Strait, BC. She also had a black sibling. Photo taken with a long lens by waiting quietly for hours for the wolves to appear (or not) so their natural behaviour was not affected.

For anyone who enjoyed the recent "Wolf Hall" books or TV adaptation, this will make a lot of sense:
"These angels were made in England by the Tuscan sculptor Benedetto da Rovezzano for the magnificent but never completed tomb commissioned by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. They were intended to stand atop nine-foot high columns at each corner of the tomb chest. After Wolsey's downfall, King Henry VIII appropriated them for his own tomb. This also remained unfinished."

Wolf Spider Focus Stack - Trying something new today. I got a chance to test out the built in focus stacking on the Canon R5II on this (dead) Wolf Spider that my daughter found in our driveway. Pretty good results for first attempt but will definitely take some practice.

Intuition, Learning, The Shadow
"Faol brings a strong sense of trust, inner strength and intuition. But it also brings learning. Sometimes you need to overcome barriers, take risks, go beyond the limited field of 'normal' behavior, to learn to grow , even if these prospects may seem unattractive or even painful."

Intuito, Apprendimento, L'Ombra
"Faol porta un forte senso di fiducia, forza interiore e intuizione. Ma porta anche apprendimento. A volte si ha bisogno di superare delle barriere, di correre dei rischi, di andare oltre il limitato campo del comportamento 'normale', per imparare a crescere, anche se queste prospettive possono sembrare non attraenti o addirittura dolorose."

Black Wolves. The lighter wolf is in season and trying to eat the deer leg. This male kept trying to mount her and always got this response.

This wolf here was obviously not amused about something.. am not sure if it was the Nikon photographer or maybe a dog ;-)
He was pretty angry for sure..
I was hoping to get a shot of the full moon tonight but its supposed to be very cloudy. I took this last night just in case. I'm glad I did.
