I've been trying to draw this snobby brat for nearly three years, but could never properly portray him... I think I've succeeded :3

Iberische wolf (Canis lupus signatus)

The tattoo is a lot of things really. To start off I'm from the wolf clan of Tseshaht tribe, which is part of the Nuu chah nulth nation. The wolf has always been my favorite animal. It's basically a tribute to my entire First Nations side of the family. The wolf has always been my favorite animal. I wanted this wolf to be definitive and have its own kind of attitude as well has give off a sense of spirituality. I have it a pierced ear with a Raven and Eagle feather tied into the fur, to pay honor them too. Eagle and Raven were the first few transformers The Great Spirit created. Raven was known to be a clownish trickster and Eagle was the known to be wise and the more serious type. Originally I was going to have the eye of the wolf red, just to look bad ass, but in the end I just went with white to further enforce the spiritual part of the tattoo. The red in the fur isn't very deep haha. In the summer time both me and my brother's hair get highlights of a strong red-burgundy. It's also my favorite colour. It wasn't intentional at the time but after I saw it when it was all done the long shaggy fur at the back kinda looks like a Native American headdress which was pretty cool! well... thats about it
This Wolf was part of 5 that took down this Elk the night before at Nymph Lake, 3 wolves came back Sunday Morning to Finish it off

We saw a few of these large wolf spiders over the week. I think this is probably Lycosa godeffroyi (syn. Geolycosa godeffroyi) although the animals are paler than the specimen found at Lake Augusta the previous year.

This is a very friendly wolf named Billie. She lives with her owner in Inuvik. I finally got my wish to pat a wolf. She loved scratches to her neck and ears. What a great animal!
