This is one of those times when I wish there was an unlimited buffer on my camera. I didn't have my extreme 3 card in... obviosly so I was picking and choosing. Wish I caught it a split second earlier with the head higher.

This Wolf just came right in front of our shuttle, sadly I could get only one snap before it zipped right back into the bushes.

If you can see it, I added a slight focal blur towards this sleepy-head's face. A timber wolf in the Lakota Wolf Preservation who was taking a little nap while we were there.

The gray wolf is a species of canid native to the wilderness and remote areas of North America, Eurasia, and the Horn of Africa. It is the largest member of its family, with males averaging 95-100 lbs, and females 80-85 lbs.

The gray wolf is one of the world's most well researched animals, with probably more books written about it than any other wildlife species.
