A photo I took at the UK Wolf Conservation Trust at one of their visit Wednesdays in September 2016.
Standing in the sun and waiting for a treat. I hope you don't mind more wolf pictures, there were so many wolves and all of them so beautiful. I'm just sharing my favorites. At the wolf sanctuary. All photos had to be taken through fencing, but I didn't care I was in photography heaven!
There are a couple of red wolves inside the Woodland Nature Station in Land between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
A red wolf is morphologically a hybrid of a coyote and grey wolf. It is considered one of the rarest species of wolf. In 1980 it was declared extinct in the wild.
On the other hand, "a 2016 study of 28 sequenced canid genomes concluded that red and eastern wolves have sequences that can be explained as resulting from gray wolf-coyote hybridization." (See How do you save a wolf that is not really a wolf? | Science)

The last place this wolf wanted to be is behind a high fence. This picture of this timber wolf was taken south central Wisconsin. Its nose was stiffing in the air looking for a deep-forested area to be let alone and be a wild wolf

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf touring the William Way LGBT Community Center. Governor Tom Wolf joined state and local leaders to highlight a $2.5 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant awarded to the William Way LGBT Community Center for phase two of its major renovation project.
