A quiet place where a young wizard lives...
In my opinion it's quite good, mainly because it's pentoganal. I wanted to build a whole dio for it. But there were many reasons why I didn't.

Yesterday I started shooting smoke trails. I wanted to capture something different from usual, and I decided to put my hands on it, literally. I tried to capture the smoke with my bare hands. Turns out it was quite difficult, but not impossible.

I had to redesign the previous one to meet the contest rules. Only the minifig can be placed on the ground. The frog must go in the air...
An array of color exists as you walk the rim of Wizard Island, a Volcano inside of a Volcano at Crater Lake National Park. As you circle the rim you will observe Reds, Oranges, Greys, Browns and Blacks contrasting with the green trees, white bark and bright lime green Lichen growing on the trees.
Wizard Island is a volcano within a volcano. Crater Lake is a collapsed volcano caldera that has filled with water. Wizard Island is an extinct cinder cone volcano that formed in the collapsed caldera
And yes the lake really is that blue!
As straight shot, this one without the moon photo-shopped in. The funny line bottom right is an aircraft. 20 second exposure to get the stars, lit by a single light bulb about 100 yds away, then one pop of a flash to freeze the turbine blades.
I had a shot that was almost #80 that was going to be called "The Gas Leak of 2014", but to be honest gas leaks suck, and although my photo of the workers digging up my yard was decent, I didn't want to commemorate something as crappy as a gas-leak in my Project 365. Thus, I went with a selfi. It's hard for me to avoid silly facial expressions when taking a self photo, but I restrained.
Strobist: AB800's at 1/16 power unfiltered behind L/R of subject, and a EX600-RT at 1/32 power as fill (camera left). Fired with pocket wizards.
I found this cute little Green Wizard on Ebay for a couple bucks, and I knew I just had to have him. And along with a cheap green wand also from Ebay, I now have a cool colored wizard for my Middle Earth ranks. I’ll probably put him in some kind of Lord of the Rings/Middle Earth builds, since I’ve been wanted to make some lately.
I’ve yet to name him (Suggestions?), but eventually I’d like to make some sort of “Wizard Club” where all the color wizards come together!

A twofer one type of day. Went out and played in the snow at Crater Lake yesterday and (of course) stayed till sunset. The Wizard hat from the west rim road. I think. I think it's a wizard hat anyway...the magic kind, not the racist kind.

This photograph comes from the movie Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. It is one of my favourite scenes, though it's very short and isn't of any matter to the story. I just like it that the wizard is enjoying coffee and that he is reading a 'muggle' book by Hawking. It is so funny and such a great detail to the movie! The wizard is the UK artist Ian Brown by the way!
There's really nothing like having an epic battle with an ancient enemy to liven up an otherwise mundane day.

This was made for Boss's Day at the school where I teach. My principal LOVES the Wizard of Oz. We were holding a luncheon to celebrate Boss's Day on Halloween and she imposed a Wizard of Oz theme on the staff, so I figured I HAD to do a cake that followed the theme. She's a fabulous boss and so worth the effort of putting this cake together.
Edmund Fitzsimmons frequently consults his friend and mentor, the wizard Ephraim Willington. Common wisdom holds that the Wizard Willington is the most potent magic-user in the city of Selenica.
This is an H-alpha/RGB image of this interesting emission nebula in the shape of a seated Wizard with open arms and with his typical cone-shaped hat. Taken with GSO 10" RC scope and ST10xme + AP 0.67 focal reducer on Paramount mx mount. Apo-Len-Di observatories, Attard, Malta.
