Milkyway over Crater Lake on the Forth of July. It was a cold and windy forth with a lot of cloud movement. It did clear enough to capture the Milkyway. The orange glow on the clouds is light pollution from the Crater Lake Lodge.

The Naboo N-1 Starfighter has always been one of my favorite ships in Star Wars. So when it appeared in the Book of Boba Fett, I instantly knew I had to build it! I started with Inthert's model from Brickvault and made some modifications to fit its run-down look in the series. Then one thing led to another and I started building this scene by bending walls out of 1x2 bricks.

Highest point atop the Triquetra Haven Sim. Hopefully this will now be known as the "Wizard Cabin" or something worthy of a bit of magic on a mountain home.

The crown came from my wonderful friend Ylva who thought I might find it good to wear and it has led to creating a little bit of visual magic.

This mountain does look a bit like a wizard hat, don't you think? On a moody day in Iceland.

Hope you aren't getting too sick of seeing Crater Lake images. I tend to post what I've photographed most recently, and Crater Lake was my most recent trip.

I had finished photographing sunrise and early morning images at Watchman Overlook and was driving along the Rim Road looking for more photo ops when I stopped at this one overlook I'd bypassed upon my first arrival, a few days prior.

Rant'73

Here's my entry for the Brickscalibur Rogues and Outlaws category! This build shows a peaceful wizard being attacked by forest rouges.

This Building was closed in the 1980ts by the looks of this room someone had been living here. There was a pots and pans kettle mini fridge and microwave in here. the word Wizard was all-over the place . And this was wrote on the door . It's 7,200 light years away, in the constellation Cepheus, which is near the north star. Not visible to the naked eye, but can't escape my telescope ! This is my third build for RebelLUG's Vignweek contest. The prompt was fantasy. This one was pretty rushed by the end and I kind of messed up the scale and proportions. Not really happy with this one but on to the next I guess.

Yesterday night I had the changes to photograph the Wizard Nebula. It was quite cold outside

A once-in-a-lifetime "selfie" under an aurora night sky at Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in Iceland. I'm trying to mix up some Iceland shots with other things I've done more recently, but I still have a lot of stuff from my trip to Iceland with Kevin Benedict, so back in to the gold mines we go. When I was packing for the trip, I grabbed a couple of green glow sticks on a whim, I thought "hey might be fun to experiment with during an aurora". It is exceedingly rare that a) I have the forethought to plan ahead for some kind of creative shot, and b) that the circumstances for said shot actually materialize. Well, the circumstances were ideal for playing around with glow sticks as we got in a full night of shooting under an ever-changing aurora. After all the more serious shots had been taken, I played around with a couple of shots pretending I was a wizard summoning forth the power of the aurora. Silly, but fun, and indeed most of the shots did look just silly. But damned if one of them didn't turn out too bad, and after I added a little bit of haze around the glow stick to try to match the aurora, I thought it looked downright cool. I could've gone to even more extremes with Photoshop adding in more tendrils of light and so on, but I decided against it here, trying to keep it more natural. So, there's no 'shop here, nothing that wasn't there to begin with, just with a little help from Lightroom. Would love to hear some feedback. Should I try for more special effects enhancement in Photoshop or do you think this kinda works as is?

I photographed this handsome nebula about 2 weeks ago during a nearly full moon with the Optolong L-eXtreme filter.

NGC 7380 is a "must-shoot" object in Cepheus in my books. It's a fantastic target to try with a one-shot-color camera or DSLR, but a light pollution filter with narrow bandpasses will help keep those stars from taking over.
