still a little nervous of the camera. Link is four months old in this photo. Note the stool, it was purchased so the little wiener could reach the couch. Now... jumping down was another matter.
This is a photo from a year ago but I just as well could have taken it recently. They both sleep on my bed and get very snuggly. I think they are dreaming of Christmas and all the gifts they will get. LOL! Pearl usually sleeps on the side Barclay is on and beneath my feet. Barclay sleeps as close as he can get to my side! I have little room in the bed for me!!!! That is my arm in the top left of the photo.

Ok so there are three movies coming out this month that I'm excited about, Beastly, Red Riding Hood, and Sucker Punch! Two of which being Fairy Tale based so this week I wanted to do that with my girls. Eve messed it up by being cute earlier this week with the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree so she gets her fairy tale shot next week. Hina gets Beauty and the Beast so everyone should be able to guess what Eve gets to do next week. =P
Anyways I hope it looks good!
This is "Kate" my latest wool sculpture pet portrait. The real Kate is a champion in the show ring and in the fields and has quite a sense of humor and is very beloved!
I sculpted this wool sculpture using a single needle and a handful of different colored wools.
this was highly posed ... my girl is such an amazing subject. i totally wanted one forepaw ahead of the other for better dof, but she doesn't naturally stand this way ... so since i was lying on my belly, i'd ask her to "paw" and come forward, but then the paws would line up again, and then she'd be too close and i'd send her "back" ... no "back" ... back further ... then she'd sit, and i'd tell her "stand" ... then "here" "wait!" ... "no, here" "wait!" ... poor girl. she's SO patient.
Josh, my sister's miniature wirehaired dachshund, on a recent photo shoot. He was quite the little character.
Well, just when you thought you were getting a reprieve from the pet photos, I discovered I had neglected to upload one of the pack. This is Josh, and he's a Miniature Wirehaired Dachshund, like Trudy . Josh and Trudy are quite the couple....they always put off a great show.
I figure its about time Debbie makes an appearance in Rudy's set. Nothing exciting. Between work and puppies I'm pretty worn out. But the sun has made an appearance, so that's always a nice mood boost for everyone :P
i've replaced this photo with one that i doctored the hair out ... in the previous version there was a long, distracting morley-hair hanging from her lip. this one's cleaner.
Barclay is sad because I am going away on a mini-vacation from Friday to Sunday. He has to stay home with the cats, chickens, Raleigh the horse, Davey the goat, the birds and bunny and Joel. Oh yeah, Coco and the puppies to and Pearl. He wants to go with me but I told him I would get him a souvenir and that made him happy as long as it isn't a t-shirt he said. We are going to Squire Boone Cavern in Corydon, IN and to visit Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home and the Falls of the Ohio. The cavern was discovered by Daniel and Squire Boone. Will take lots of pictures so you can see it all. Take care and be good. LOL!
This photo made Explore! Thank you everyone!!
Barclay was wondering where his Easter basket was. The Easter bunny forgot to bring him one but he got lots of treats anyway!
This photo made Explore!! No. 86 on April 22, 2009. Thank you everyone!!
Clockwise, starting with Benni: 1. Hobson, a new friend and the reason Sandy found Gracie, he's an 8 month old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. 2. Dakota, Golden retriever that doesn't quite reciprocate Benni's joy in seeing him each day. 3. Rosy, Bouvier, who is Benni's favorite running buddy. 4. Moe, Labradoodle, having a quiet moment. 5 & 6. Ollie and Stan, good old Lab boys.
Benni's a lucky dog to have all these buddies to greet most trail walking days. She is invariably, always, more excited to see them than they are to see her but she does get things going!
