Another module of my clay in chicken wire sculpture. When I have enough of these I want them to form a larger sculptural unit but right now they're hanging from a sumac tree in my yard.
The random shapes of the large shards of clay contrast nicely with the gossamer feel of the chicken wire.
I think this is also cool because chicken wire is not gossamer and the clay, which is a very soft shape, appears solid here but also alive, almost like a fetus.

I made this piece for a friend’s father. It is a wand, a little over a foot in length. The center stone is polished Zambian amethyst. The end stones are Brazilian quartz and amethyst, respectively; the latter end is also picked out with smaller tumbled amethyst stones. The wand is made from twisted and hammered copper wire.

Set in Baltimore, The Wire dvd Series centers around the city's inner-city drug scene. The Wire dvd collectionstarts as mid-level drug dealer, D'Angelo Barksdale beats a murder rap. After a conversation with a judge, Det. James McNulty has been assigned to lead a joint homicide and narcotics team, in order to bring down drug kingpin Avon Barksdale. Avon Barksdale, accompanied by his right-hand man Stringer Bell, enforcer Wee-Bey and many lieutenants (including his own nephew, D'Angelo Barksdale), has to deal with law enforcement, informants in his own camp, and competition with a local rival, Omar, who's been robbing Barksdale's dealers and reselling the drugs. The supervisor of the investigation, Lt. Cedric Daniels, has to deal with his own problems, such as a corrupt bureaucracy, some of his detectives beating suspects, hard-headed but determined Det. McNulty, and a blackmailing deputy. The Wire complete series depicts the lives of every part of the drug "food chain", from junkies to dealers, and from cops to politicians...
I tested the LumoPro LP907 Universal Hot Shoe Translator II by taking this photo. My old hot shoe adaptor is on the camera's hot shoe, and is connected to the LP907 by the audio cable visible at lower right (it came with a set of computer speakers I bought in 2000).
The LP907 fired the Yongnuo flash pictured here, which is lighting this image. (If the LP907 hadn't worked, then this image would have been dark.)
Birds on intersecting wires. No idea why it turned out so noisy when I had the phone set to 'auto' and it was a bright, sunny day. But I see that the 'Additional info' says the ISO was 74. Why would the phone do that?
I spotted this guy sitting in a tree about a 1/4 mile away from where I was. I could barely make him out through the dense growth of that old tree he was sitting in. I had to climb a bob wire fence down a raven a long side a creek. I didn't want to get wet, or rip my pants trying to climb that fence, but there was no turning back now. Boy am I glad I didn't hang myself on that bob wire, it would have been brutal. I stalked him, though I'm pretty sure he could see me coming even though I was trying to conceal myself as best I could in an open field in the middle of nowhere. I crept ever closer till I finally came out into the open field, were he could see me easily, if he was even still there at this point. I could no longer see him in that tree, but I kept going none the less in case he was. As I stumbled through the water soaked grass next to the creek, trying not to break my neck, he allowed me to come even closer and closer, even though I didn't know he was still there for sure. When I finally saw him again I was only about 35' away.
He or she, became uneasy as I crept still closer so I stop in my tracks and just started firing away with my Nikon D800 whose shutter is so LOUD, clank, clank, it sounded, yet he didn't take to flight, he merely inched a bit closer to the end of the branch he was sitting on so he could make a quick getaway if need be. I think he was just as interested in seeing me up close as I was him. He had to be at least 2' high and weighing approximately 3 lbs. or so if ounce. He was a big boy that's for sure. I was thrilled to be able to see him up close and personal like that, and I thanked him for not flying away before I could get a few good pictures.
I came here hoping to find a different kind of owl altogether, on the other side of the field, but he was gone, so the Lord gave me another owl instead. I'm sure it was the Holy Spirit getting me to stop just then so I could see him, knowing how much I love Owls. Had I stopped anywhere else I'd of never seen him at all. Perfect timing as always when the Lord is involved. I've never stopped in this area before, it had to be the Lord. So thank YOU JESUS, Love it... :^)
Life's and adventure when you walk with the Lord. Notice the blood on this guy's talons? I imagine he's a very good hunter.
