The Bomaderry flour train at the end of overhead wiring on the NSW south coast line, at Kiama. Diesel hauled (naturally), with triple 81 class.

 

No electric trains can proceed south past here, unless they have a very long extension cord! :)

I prefer this type of construction (wire weaving, rather than hammered wire).

HID wires all tucked and zip-tied on the bike.

Yeah, dumb name, couldn't think of anything cool. The shadow from the trees behind me made for some odd coloring.

As we were walking through the Manzanar site to return to our vehicles Keith or one of the members of the group fund this loop of rusted barbed wire lying on the ground. We hung it on a small branch of one of the nearby trees and everyone decided this would be an appropriate photographic subject. The two shots following (one in B&W) are my rendition.

De mooie herfstkleur van deze plant (soort wikke) in het weiland trok mijn aandacht. Mijn oog viel op een een van de takjes dat zich om het prikkeldraad had gewikkeld.
