I discovered this on a desk at work this afternoon...
A client needs a job done on the business end of this wiring loom, but never mind that. I just thought "Ooh - pretty colours!", and snuck it into my bag to bring home to photograph...
So I quit my 365. I knew that I was producing rubbish and being a perfectionist I couldn't handle uploading it. Time to start making my stream look good again.

A friend handed me a six-pound crystal cluster and said, “I want this two and a half feet off the ground in my garden. Make it awesome. Money is no object.” This is the resulting sculpture, without a doubt the most grueling and most satisfying piece I have ever made.
The arm is life-size and modeled after my own. Every major bone and artery is represented in steel or copper wire of various gauges. The crystal is affixed to the hand with light-gauge silver wire.
Electrical wires with plugs on 50 x 60 cm canvas. Used: Latex paint, montana gold, montana hardcore marker, 50 grams paper and wheatpaste.

Jim made the fence himself in the summer 2004. Around the premier we have 100 posts with a blend of fur and larch. The top of the post are copper capped and the bottom as well to help from rotting.
I've included 4 photos below of the project. It took Jim the whole summer.
We decided we needed a fence for Hendrix to keep him safe =)
