Just some quick combos I've been working on, pretty happy with this one.
Legs are from series 8(?) football player, I think they'll prove to be pretty useful.
I'm always surprised when I see pollinators in winter. These sweat bees were enjoying a winter dandelion.

Every winter these ducks migrate to Denmark from nothern Scaninavia - every year I see them in Nordhavn, North Harbour, Copenhagen - every year i see these beautiful birds floating on the waves, shield from the cold winds from the sea.

I nearly overlooked this picture while going through my files. As a thumbnail, it didn't catch my eye. I opened it on a whim, said "Hmm," and added some of Distressed Jewell's commercial textures.
Voila!
Best on black.
New Delhi is reeling under sweltering temperatures. Yesterday clocked 43.5 degrees Celcius, a record for the day in last 50 years! Today was no different. The heat waves almost seem to melt you down.
I have always loved the winter of Delhi. It has just that right amount for a pleasant sunshine and for having loads of fun all through the day. I am a winter guy. More so because the summer brings with it so much misery, and death amongst the poor. I only shudder by the mere thought of what awaits the deprived in the actual summer months of May~July!
God, have mercy.
Mt. Marcy - the highest mountain in New York State - as seen through some winter bare trees on the summit of Tabletop Mountain, in the Adirondack Mountains.
Winter solstice is special to me because it means the light starts coming back. I don't think it's coincidental that so many religious traditions have centered their festivals of Light (Christmas, Chanukah, even Bodhi Day) near this time.
Cross-country skiing in the mountains.
Here's a song I recorded last night.
It'll put you to sleep if you're wearing headphones. It's very New Agey.
The piano is a bit loud near the middle. I need to adjust that...
The winter was mild and short this year. Even here deep in the Norwegian mountains you see the sign of Spring not far away. But this evening the clouds came down and gave me a little troll mood.
This was shot near the lake Flævatn and the cabin Flævasshytta near Hemsedal.

This is actually my brother's jasmine plant - mine is the yellow-leaved one on the other side of the front door. They were planted when we were younger, and his flowers with bright yellow flowers in the winter and mine flowers with white flowers in the summer. I do not know if it is because I was born in summer and he was born in...autumn. Maybe Mum could not get a jasmine plant that flowers in autumn...
Anyway, he is not here today - on a school trip to Iceland for a week - and so far I have not really noticed it (ballet was...odd without him. It was nice to be able to talk to everyone without having him showing off) but he is never here on the weekends anyway, so I will not really notice it until Monday. Although, I think I will notice not needing to go out and pick him up from his girlfriend's tomorrow evening - that might be strange. I bet that I will even hesitate to put a film on so it is not interrupted by having to leave halfway through to pick him up, even though we do not have to tomorrow.
We washed the cars today. It is my favourite household chore. It allows me to be a child again and that is always fun. I remember once, I think during the summer holidays when I was maybe five or six, Dad was washing the cars and I had been inside eating a pomegranate. I am not the cleanest of eaters at the best of times, and a fruit that requires careful dissection to extract the blood-covered seeds for eating is not going to be easy to eat for anyone, but for me at five or six, a messy eater already, added to being a child, I was covered in pomegranate juice, head to toe. And I just remember Mum telling me to go outside to show Dad the mess I had made and I pressed my hands against the door of the clean car so I could see into the wing mirror to see how covered in juice my face was. Dad shouted at me for getting sticky handprints on his clean car.
Finishing my Winter 2011 set with images of the subtle transition from Winter to Spring. Tiny-new-green-shoot by tiny-new-green-shoot, tender-new-blossom by tender-new-blossom, elegantly-departing-petal by elegantly-departing-petal.
