This is a picture I took from the train when I was going to work and I took my camera with me. You can see on the right what the glass of the window did to the picture! ;)
A pretty little river on the trail to the Kaledonia Waterfall, just outside Platres, in the Troodos Mountains, Cyprus.
I took a quick walk through Bundek park, hoping for some inspiration. Inspiration came, but it was short-lived - just a bunch of dry branches and a whole lot of reflections. December 2018.
Taken with Nikon FE camera and Micro-Nikkor AI-S 105mm F4 lens on Agfa APX400 black & white film. 1/350, ƒ/5.6. Scanned with Plustek OpticFilm 8100 dedicated film scanner via VueScan 9.

True Dutch winter sceneries!
I was motivated to design and build this Winter Village Tram once it became apparent that this year's Winter Village set is a re-release of the first one. I always felt the Winter Village needed some public transportation, and I think a tram fits the bill. I opted for an open design for a more fun and easy minifigure display/access. The tram is inspired by older era electric trams that were adorned with wood trims and detailing, which seems to be the official Winter Village set's time period.
In 2010 and 2011, North America had two snowy winters, punctuated by monster storms that shut down cities from Denver to Washington DC. But this year saw fewer big storms, and by early March areas of the U.S. usually still dressed in white were mostly bare due to below average snowfall and above average temperatures that made this the fourth warmest winter on record. The heavy snows in 2010 were partly caused by El Niño, which drew moisture from the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico that froze above the lower 48 states upon contact with sinking cold air from the Arctic. However, La Niña conditions in 2012 resulted in the Pacific Ocean's moist air being pushed to the far North, where storms dumped near-record snowfall in Alaska. The visualization is based on data collected by NASA's Aqua and Terra satellites, to see how snow cover has varied over North America from July 2009 to March 2012.

A telephoto shot of farmland in the Storrs/Dungworth area on the western outskirts of Sheffield (UK).
The original image was extremely over-exposed - I was too busy snapping away to notice that I had the camera on the wrong settings. Thankfully, I managed to salvage it during RAW processing. The colours were a bit peculiar, so I converted it to monochrome. I think the end result is better than it would have been if I had used the correct exposure!
