The intricate detail of this amazing moth's wing is so beautiful. Reminds me of a dream catcher. Blows me away that this is all created inside a small cocoon from a vibrantly coloured caterpillar. Nature is truely awesome.

I caught this Black-crowned night heron landing in the cattails and reeds before he tucked its wings. Last evening we watched a sunset and we saw more black-crowned night herons than at any time before, they were lying in wait.
