Mother and child lunching together at Denny's in Alexandria, Virginia. Black and white candid photo with window lighting.
I did not have a legitimate truck shot for today, so this is all I have.
Still fun just the same.
Happy Truck Thursday
This is a photo of a marble I purchased plus one of my own taken on watercolour paper and blended with a photo of a leaf skeleton in post processing...
I have tried every which way to avoid the window reflection (just in case anyone did wonder ) I own a light box but just couldn't get the shots I wanted. They are hand held using the same combo as in the pervious shots. If anyone did have any advice it would be most welcome...Sue :)
An older shot that I came across the other day while looking for a shot. I use this window area quite a bit because of its nice light.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
I was not taking photos' outdoors for many months. Just to get a camera in my hand gave me the push to take some shots indoors using a vintage lens to exploit the bokeh.. sometimes it gave up something that pleased me but many didn't but slowly I started to enjoy taking pictures again. I don't however expect people to enjoy my hobby but its pleasing if you happen to...Sue :)
The weather here has been hovering around 0.Celsius for awhile now. Making for mud really and very little snow.

Window light portrait with my Mamiya C220, a beautiful medium format twin lens reflex camera which I still use today. Taken in 2017 when she was just 17 :)

It's been a week and it's just been raining and raining. Luke just sitting there looking at the window wondering when it'll be over.
That time of year again. What will Santa bring? I have been working hard on my first actual concept video. A very sad song, but a song with a message.

Agnes and Eva on the bed on squirrel patrol. Bruno just on the bed.
Our new cabin has lovely windows that look out into the trees, The high walkout basement and tons of surrounding trees means that the dogs are are eye level with the local squirrels. The king bed is apparently the best vantage point to watch from. Until one is spotted at which point running and yelling has to happen. And even though Bruno is rarely the first one to spot the squirrel, he always joins in the running around and yelling.
The life of a cabin dog is pretty rough.
She loves to sit at the piano & make up her own songs.
(This was an in-camera crop, but I ended up liking it)
The sun's put in an all-too-rare appearance, today after what seems like weeks of unseasonably cool weather. The days are drawing in, the harvest's gathered and thoughts turn to preparing for the long dark days of winter.
I collect both vintage marbles and vintage lenses and occasionally enjoy combining the two...they don't prove popular tbh but remains something I enjoy :)
Incidentally I don't use a helicoid with the Nikon D850 just the thin washer type m42 adapter with the MOG Trioplan 50mm 2.9 Lens...
A nice Costa Rican varietal with a touch of whipped soy milk, or at least, please imagine it is. :-) LOL. Since I can't send it via the net, I will be a nice guy and drink it for you, my friend :-)
A new series perhaps, called "What the Hell"
The new Danbo arrived today. I am excited that he did. He was a bit upset that he was stuck in there for 3 weeks. Bigger things than him arrived last week. How weird.
Happy Thursday everyone.
A pair of Christmas decorations that insist on growing despite the cold and weak Winter light. Some folks just never know when to leave the party. : ))
🇬🇧 In this Tuscan alley, silence walks ahead of the sun.
The slow step of an anonymous figure slips between warm walls and flowered names. “Il Girasole” — the sunflower — offers a subtle nod to light, just a word at eye level.
A simple, nearly forgotten scene, yet precious — like a sunbeam in shadow.

As bad as that title is, it could have been worse.....like "Rockin' Around The Roquefort" : ))

Pasta bows, as shot from RAW. Light from two corner windows.
Part One of a series investigating various pasta shapes and arrangements, I hope.
Thanks for looking.
