Picked up a hardly used, prime condition 70-200, f/2.8 lens and did some focus test shots. Shots recorded inside in available window light

Window light and reflector

This is straight window light, both side and back. If left up to the camera's meter Amy here would be in near silhouette from the light coming in from that window to the right. In manual mode, I could meter close up to Amy to get a better exposure off her. I love this kind of light nicely rim lighting Amy's profile, shoulder and arms. And the light coming in from a window behind her nicely lights her hair.

A macro view of two yellow pencils with window light coming from the back end.

Charlie finding a bit of warm afternoon window light.

An older shot. I did not feel like looking for real or fake spiders so I am float some old shots today.

I hope everyone has a great day.

These are steel cut oats, turbinado sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves and an apple. 1/2 hour of cooking and stirring at low heat for a rewarding breakfast. :-)

NOW CLOSE THE WINDOWS

Now close the windows and hush all the fields:

If the trees must, let them silently toss;

No bird is singing now, and if there is,

Be it my loss.

It will be long ere the marshes resume,

I will be long ere the earliest bird:

So close the windows and not hear the wind,

But see all wind-stirred.

Sorry my friend.... what can I tell you.

An older shot of Danbo at the window on West River St in Paris. I miss taking photos at that front window.

Another new bear. He so loves the laundry basket. I won't stop his fun. I want him to feel comfortable and fit in.

Oh the chaos around here some days.

Cedar Lutheran Church closed years ago, but is still well maintained.

There was some attraction to this little knit doll. Lonely and maybe vulnerable. Sometimes it's how I feel.

I think we are better when we are with others.

Found these guys the other day and brought them home from the storage area.

Who does not like these crazy minions?

Happy Saturday

Bob with windowlight and a little vignette.

I honestly don't know why he went up there in the first place. You are a silly bear. Actually almost all of them are.

This has all been a tad bit surreal. My favourite window for all of you. I am thankful for my lovely and most friendly Flickeroos who were always ready to cheer me up.

Happy Window Wednesday

We're actually getting rather too much sunshine. I would love to see some heavy and steady rain for the gardens and trees.

Clothes drying in apartment window ...

This is one of the windows in the Hacienda on the ranch, and I just liked the way the light played across it.

I thought the quote from Shakespeare was befitting this scene.

I'll be posting more ranch shots over the next couple of weeks, too.

I do not get to use the Rainbow bears to often. I did have some other bears at the window, but he does not get into images too often.
