Leave me out with the waste
This is not what I'd do
It's the wrong kind of place
To be thinking of you
It's the wrong time
For somebody new
It's a small crime
And I've got no excuse
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright?
If you don't shoot it how am I supposed to hold it
Is that alright?
9 crimes - Damien Rice ft Lisa Hannigan
I am posting this cherries variation between tasks of more importance at home. Sometimes one must yield to the creative side. :-)
I was working an evening event in Redbank, NJ USA and got there early. Passing time in a bar across the street I saw the bartender pass a window and had to make the image. I posed her with the windowlight only on her face and asked for a dreamy expression. Looking at the image on the camera display, she exclaimed, "Wow, I really look good." Very satisfying as a photographer.
I was asked to make some artwork for a single by the band "& Friends". It was a great experience to make some work in response to just some lyrics. The single is out on Sunday, go check it out!
& Friends plan on collaborating with different artists for each single of their album. These will then all be made into a catalogue / magazine and exhibition / album launch later on in the year. It's something I've always wanted to do myself, so it was great to be asked to be apart of this ace project.

A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure and honour to photograph legendary Swedish jazz singer Svante Thuresson.
What is hip? :)

I'm pretty sure almost all of us have photographed our own version of Pei's mehndi. Who could resist?
