The lensbaby at the f2 opening (wide open), and a very narrow sweetspot. I prefer it straight as the area outside of sharpness has a wonderful bokeh. I added a touch of saturation to the weeds to separate them from the rest of the props. This is a cool device :-)

A window into the past.

Two generations of Alexander buses which were once the backbone for Dubliners in their daily commute.

Going back to green, former Dublin Bus Leyland Olympian RH 125, through the 90's the main double decker in Dublin, RH 125 is seen recreating a 46A on the last day of the route 25th January 2025.

I had purchased some cool things in Bayfield ON a few weeks back and Gerrie seem to know exactly what to do with them.

He is such a planner.

When the Boss is drumming, it's too loud.

I am so sorry that it is disturbing your valuable playtime.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

55mm Nikkor micro lens, for this tiny blossom.

The daughter of the couple I imaged in a maternity shoot from last December.

The light on Cristina's face and hair was so beautiful ...

It's been raining a lot. My tortoises love mushrooms.

... boudoir portrait ... made with the help of @molly_beth_models

A random selection of images for today. Today is my Dad's 60th birthday party (his actual birthday was two days ago).

Made with my Hasselblad 500 C/M.

Some days are just more exhausting than others.

They so wanted to play with this puppet but it just was not going to work out for them.

I was very sad to hear today that a lovely contact had passed away in February. Take care Gwen.

Mason was one of a four-kitten litter gifted to us in 2005 by a little pregnant stray we named Coconut. Sixteen years of wonderful memories would follow. Thank you, Coconut.

I couldn't possibly explain all that is going on right now. Or how exhausting it is.

Windowlight, a touch of mangling and the combination of the two makes for a very cool black-and-white image of Georgia.

I feel lucky to have inherited old sewing bobbins, needles, thread still on old spools, and an old and functioning Singer sewing machine—with replacement parts! Some day I'll use them for more than photo subjects.

Thanks for your previous fun comments. Photo for #MacroMonday and theme #Beauty of bokeh, in this case smooth bokeh—no bokeh bubbles.

The MacroMonday group offered a link to an informative article (off Flickr) on understanding bokeh.

This is the portrait I actually had in mind. Or something close to it. But end of the day it turns out to be the outtake as the other version that I posted is much more true to Fred at this moment in time.
