Hasselblad 500CM | Polaroid Back | Fuji FP 100C
I'm pretty sure almost all of us have photographed our own version of Pei's mehndi. Who could resist?
Found it in my backyard among the weeds. So I said: why not? Took a series of shots but this is my favorite. The rest go into the black hole :-)

Windowlight
A quiet windowlight
Presses softly on written page,
Warm, soporific,
Lulling me inexorably
To the place where printed words
Dance entwined
To music only they can hear.
And time? Inconsequential.
Words to music, music to light,
The mystery’s revealed.
Clear and simple,
As windowlight pauses,
On written page
The Pansies and me are staying in today, too cold and wet outside. A little window light is always cheerful
Experimenting with my 50mm Summicron as a potential portrait lens, as it gives me a 75mm crop factor, a mild telephoto effect. I like the interaction of the Fuji Trans II sensor and the Summicron.
L.A. at ~dj's~ place...she is such a natural beauty. No make up just window light and a couple of modifiers in place to create shadow on a bright day.
I'm giving up on making passes
And I'm giving up on half empty glasses
And I'm giving up on greener glasses
I am
giving up.
VIew on black, pleeeease

Words can't express how good it felt to make my friend Bruce's portrait in this special house. Exactly 3 years ago, I was drawn to this abandoned house and the stories it held. Each time, wanting to go inside and explore. My dream came true when Bruce and his wife Jackie bought the house last year. I have a few pictures of the interior before the remodel here. Full circle happenings are powerful...
The image in the comments is one of favorites from 2012. Now I understand the glow in the window through the curtains. It was created from the red panes of glass in the front door. Since it made my heart skip a beat, it seemed right to frame this proud new owner within the magic of the color and light.
