Naboo finds a new place to recline - our back window ledge is nice and wide. Never seen them sitting here before.
OK, the title only works if you follow the 'liken' pronunciation, rather than the 'kitchen' rhyme. Apparently they're both correct.
Is this lichen though? Is it moss? Is it something else altogether?
In truth I've got no idea, but I do know that it made the window ledge outside my exam room look interesting, so it got snapped, even if my phone did get covered in cobwebs.

Camera balanced on windowledge -- a slight gust moved it so I was no longer centre-frame -- it snapped this when I was moving to it as I thought it was going to fall . . .
Olympus 40mm - 150mm f3.5 - 4.5 digital zoom lens and extension tubes. Colour amended via Curves, nil sharpening. Shot in full-on sunlight. Hand held.

Nice to see Richard Herring's principle of Anything Can Be Improved If You Put A Shrek In It extends to the back windowledge of a Volvo 330.
