My sister has just finshed her chemo and bought everyone matching vases and flowers to celebrate. I had to take a photo of them. I know not everyone loves carnations- but I think they are really pretty and last ages. I usually have some on the kitchen windowledge.

 

Fingers crossed that she'll have an easier year this year and will continue to grow stronger and healthier from now on.

Bollo finds a new place to recline - our back window ledge is nice and wide. Never seen them sitting here before.

I was at home with my parents and my Mum had this bowl of freshly cut tulips on the windowledge. I decided to mess about trying different angles, and ended up shooting them from below with nothing but sky in the background.

I like the way it turned out, with all the primary colours being quite vibrant. I also think the bokeh came out quite nicely too.
