At last, it's getting to the time of year that I can take photos in the light on my way to work! I've posted two versions of this shot - I like the movement in the portrait version but I think I prefer ther comp of the landscape one so I'll let you decide :)
The only way to get the entire windmill is to either stand far on the road or use a wide angle lens. I picked the second solution as getting run over by a car did not really appeal to me.
Situated on the long wave breaker at Mandraki harbor stand these three medieval windmills which once ground the grains unloaded from merchant vessels in the harbour

a working windmill from 1817 - 1862 this is the only remaining windmill in London. It sits in a small park, hemmed in by the urban sprawl and HM Prison Brixton.

Its now confirmed totally mad !! went up to Jack and Jill windmills today on the South Downs with my friend Annie,(90 days in the life of ) to get some photos. Its was blowing a gale again and at times we could hardy stand up!! but we did get some good shots!! well Annie did!!
This is a photo of Jill built in 1821, I believe jack not to be in working order.

Another visit to our local windmill in the middle of a new housing estate. I appoached it this time from a different angle and liked the lines of the fences.
