Incredible day on Abraham Lake yesterday afternoon. The winds reaffirmed their reputation, clearing snow and polishing ice. I believe they also created the sweeping cloud lines over Mt Michener. Great day in the mountains.

Have shot St. Benet's mill a few times before, but some new flood defence works have created some new angles there, including this one which I shot today whilst on a workshop my wife got me as a xmas present last year, which I finally got round to using!

Created for the 115 in 2015 Group - #114 A Tunnel

We don't have any tunnels locally at all - but what we do have is plenty of wind tunnels, so I'm hoping that this can fit the bill.

Ii is a narrow passage between houses, an alley-way. And the walls are high enough to funnel the wind from the sea (in the distance) right down the tunnel, and make walking hard against the wind. Often you have to lean into the wind to make any progress at all ;o)

Went over to one of my favourite spots this morning, Waverton, which has an awesome lookout over the city.

Four girls turned up for a sunrise picnic, and after asking their permission, I included them in my shot.

The wind along the Oregon coast can be quite strong, creating wind-swept beaches and large dunes. This is especially true from Coos Bay to Florence, where the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is found.

Although these are now termed "wind generators" - so many still look at them as windmills ..just not the classics.

Normally I pass them up but the contrasting clouds sucked me in. :>)

It gets dark during snowfall, a wind is blowing snow in all directions. Polder near vrieseveen.

This was taken 2 nights ago, when Typhoon Vincente hit Hong Kong. This shot was taken inside my car when stopped in front of the traffic light.
