Phase I
In the first phase 6 MW, five German-made gearless VENSYS 62 wind turbines each capable of producing 1.2 MW were installed/connected with 11 KV HESCO network and started generation in April 2009.[3]
Phase II
In the second phase, 28 more wind turbines of 1.8 MW capacity each, supplied by Vestas of Denmark were installed to produce a total of 50.4 MW electricity.[3] This increased the capacity of the project to 56.4 MW. The project was completed in March 2013.[1]
In July 2013, Zorlu Enerji announced that its 56.4 MW Jhimpir wind power plant in Pakistan had started to sell power to the Pakistani national power distribution company after having passed all the required tests.[4]
Currently the privately owned Turkish wind farm is selling the produced electricity to Pakistan at a rate of 12.1057 US cents per kilowatt hour of electricity.[3]
Currently, 45 wind power projects of around 3200 MW capacity are under process in Pakistan.[5]

Test Macro, I know this camera is designed for low light action\sport, I'm just exploring the versatility of the camera.

Wind Cave, Wind Cave National Park, South Dakota, USA.
---quotation from en.wikipedia.org:---
Wind Cave National Park is a United States national park 10 miles (16 km) north of the town of Hot Springs in western South Dakota. Established in 1903 by President Theodore Roosevelt, it was the seventh U.S. National Park and the first cave to be designated a national park anywhere in the world. The cave is notable for its displays of the calcite formation known as boxwork. Approximately 95 percent of the world's discovered boxwork formations are found in Wind Cave. Wind Cave is also known for its frostwork. The cave is also considered a three-dimensional maze cave, recognized as the densest (most passage volume per cubic mile) cave system in the world. The cave is currently the sixth-longest in the world with 139.15 miles (223.94 km) of explored cave passageways, with an average of four new miles of cave being discovered each year. Above ground, the park includes the largest remaining natural mixed-grass prairie in the United States.

I did not think much of this when I took it but the simplicity of the scene has grown on me so here it is. It moves around in the wind very slowly so giving many possible combinations of the three vanes.

Albany wind farm is a wind power station near Albany, Western Australia, owned by Verve Energy. It has 18 wind turbines, with a maximum generating capacity of 35.4 MW of electricity. It was commissioned in October 2001, after ten years of planning. The wind farm has the capacity to produce 80 per cent of the electricity requirements of Albany.
The farm originally had 12 wind turbines, with 6 extra turbines installed in 2011. The original turbines are ENERCON model E66, each with three 35 metres (115 ft) long blades made from fibreglass and kevlar (making them very flexible in order to withstand any conditions) and are fitted to 65 metres (213 ft) towers. The nose cone which the blades attach to weighs around 14 tonnes. These turbines are the largest that have been installed in the southern hemisphere. The turbines operate automatically, with the three blades adjusted to make best use of power output from any wind direction or strength. They have been designed to withstand the strongest winds likely in Albany and incorporate special lightning protection. Each turbine has a rating of 1.8 MW and is able to produce electrical energy at wind speeds of 7–130 kilometres per hour (4–70 kn) at which the turbines are shut down.
Maximum output is achieved at a wind speed of 50 kilometres per hour (27 kn). The 6 new turbines installed in 2011 are ENERCON model E70 with a rating of 2.3 MW. The turbines were made in Germany.
Albany wind farm is situated on the coast about 12 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of the city. It is in an elevated position at approximately 80 metres (262 ft) above the Southern Ocean. The height and locality is designed to maximise exploitation of local wind conditions, and combined with the short distance to the main electricity transmission system make this an outstanding wind farm site.

Day 158 Wednesday October 19 2011 -This old wind mill was the only interesting thing I came across on this over cast day to photograpy, and I had to go all the way to Jackson County, Alabama to find it.
came up from some dark bayou with a grisgris bag, a mysteriously heavy and battered old steamer trunk and not a single mosquito bite. we don't ask what her pockets are full of, but she always smells pleasantly of wax and very old dirt. as for her trunk, we keep quiet about that, but one couldn't help but notice ether's mysterious appearance later that night
