Combined wind and solar power unit. On display in Da'an Forest Park as part of the low carbon energy exhibition (底炭能源新主張). It was held in conjunction with a free evening concert by Canadian musician and environmental activist Matthew Lien.
What a wonderful warm windy day, makes me quite envious. Can they exceed the wind speed, sure looked like it.
It was very windy in Peachland today so I ventured down to the beach to catch some waves...from the shore of course.
Some of you may remember last Novembers wind storm. I think the waves were bigger this year.

I happen to like the idea of using natural resources for green purposes. These wind farms have popped up all over West Texas in the last 5-6 years and more keep popping up.

투어 시간은 약 1시간 15분 정도이며 300 계단 정도를 걷게 됩니다.
동굴 온도는 11도 정도되니 얇은 자켓 정도는 준비하시는게 좋으며 신발은 운동화를 신으시는게 좋습니다.

This wind farm is in central Illinois outside of Bloomington. The towers are located in the corn fields and go on to the horizon. In all there are 120 towers in this group. If you have never seen one of these up close...it is pretty incredible.

Usually when I drop something it breaks, but this time the wind took control, snapped my lightstand in two, my partner caught the top half before it hit the ground, but the leverage against flextt5 hotshoe did not hold up. Good thing I ordered two 2 of these to continue with shoot.
Not a long exposure. The wind was blowing the finer slightly darker coloured sand just below the rocks.

A wind farm or wind park is a group of wind turbines in the same location used to produce energy. A large wind farm may consist of several hundred individual wind turbines and cover an extended area of hundreds of square miles, but the land between the turbines may be used for agricultural or other purposes. A wind farm can also be located offshore.

Winds came up and we were pummeled by violent winds and torrential -- white-out -- rains. Six minutes later, it was over and the sun came out again.
Just out playing with the camera today. I used the same technique for this that I use for the waterfall shots. A bit longer exposure than I needed to get a stop action shot with the f-stop bumped way up to prevent over exposure. It isn't a shot of anything spectacular, but I really like how it turned out.
