There have been more than 142.75 miles of cave passages mapped in Wind Cave National Park. This makes it the sixth longest mapped cave in the world and the country's third longest.
This twig made an interesting pattern in the sand from being pushed forward in the wind. The wind does weird things to the desert. Nothing stays the same for long.
Wind.
That's the theme here.

On Interstate 65 in White County, Indiana. There are a bunch of wind turbines between the county's southern border and the exit for US 231 about 10 miles northwest.
On January 25th we were driving west on I-90 between Mitchell and Chamberlain South Dakota when the winds started gusting and blowing rolling clouds of dirt off the fields along the interstate.
This Innovation Lab Hack Session was a little different - rather than tearing stuff apart, participants built 'Wind Tubes' for use in upcoming classes here at the Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library and for Harris County Public Library outreach events out in the community. Of course, they had to test them out - just to make sure they worked properly.
The wind tubes are made of 4-ft x 4-ft x 0.03-inch thick polycarbonate, held in form by embroidery hoops.
Special thanks go out to The Tinkering Studio and to Josh Burker for the inspiration.
lot of windfarms commissioned in Gujarat.............the great step of Gujarat State for power generating.
A wind farm or wind park, also called a wind power station or wind power plant, is a group of wind turbines in the same location used to produce electricity. Wind farms vary in size from a small number of turbines to several hundred wind turbines covering an extensive area. Wind farms can be either onshore or offshore.
Because they require no fuel, wind farms have less impact on the environment than many other forms of power generation. Wind farms have, however, been criticized for their visual impact and impact on the landscape. Typically they need to be spread over more land than other power stations and need to be built in wild and rural areas, which can lead to "industrialization of the countryside", habitat loss, and a drop in tourism. Some critics claim that wind farms have adverse health effects, but most researchers consider these claims to be pseudoscience.

Wind turbines generating electrical power at Horse Hollow Wind Farm, Nolan county, Texas the world's largest wind power project.
Well, another wind storm. This time I get to do some repairs.
So far this season 2 snow storms, 2 wind storms and for the city, 3 days which flooding occurred. Millions in damage, thousands without power and winter has just started. Wow.
The thing that really sucks though is, my friend is on vacation in Thailand and my brother is trekking around Argentina. This was the time to "get out" and into the sun.
