One of the lyrics of one of my boyfriend's favorite songs, I think it from My Chemical Romance or so (and no my boyfriend is not an emo :P )

I had to think about it when I was taking these pictures and it actually fits so well because I'm seriously thinking about trading/selling my Wind...

I never take any pictures of her, I never ever give her attention, she's just sitting in my room being pretty.

But... I got her from my boyfriend as a present and it was so special, I was SO extremely happy when I got her so isn't it strange I want to trade/sell her?

Did something like this ever happen to you?

Actually I already know what I will do but I always think not knowing what to do, it's complicated haha :P

Still... I have to think about it some more... in the mean time enjoy my pictures of her they could be the last I made of her.

Trees found in subalpine areas often experience harsh conditions and high winds. A flagged tree, with growth on one side more than the other, is a sign of prevailing wind direction.

In the wind 24-08-2010

I am just mesmerized by this shot. This actually is the only shot I took at that spot, as a sort of testshot. But because the enormous wind, kept blowing her skirt up, we decided to take some cover in the cornfield. I am so pleased that I tried a shot, but we probably could have got a lot more out of this location.

I used available light only

Posted previously of her.

Blowing in the Wind

I am taking a little break from my London night shots, to post a few photos I have taken in Brighton at the weekend.

This was my first shot. I saw this scene and I had to take this photo. Unfortunately, the setting were not right as it was far too bright for my lens fully open, and I were not able to select the focus point, and ended up focusing on the pebbles on the shore line.

However, I like the whiteness of the photo and the sail on the horizon.

It was freezing cold with a relentless stiff breeze over the bay from the Northwest. We walked downwind along the beach and then into the wind behind the dunes on the way back. Between clouds, fleeting moments of sunshine lit up the winter-dry dune grass, and offered a momentary sense of warmth.

Un extraño fenómeno meteorológico provocado por el viento, el frío y la nieve, hace que estos árboles tengan agujas de hasta 10 cm de largo que están sólo en un lado de los árboles: apuntando hacia el sur porque el viento venía del norte.

Wollfe Island, the largest of the Thousand Islands, has a wind farm which is visible from the mainland, Kingston. We took a day trip from Kingston to explore Wollfe Island. I was intrigued by the shape of these turbines.

Jacey's finding out that wearing short skirts and dresses is not easy. A gust of wind sends Jacey into panic mode as she tries desperately to keep her dress from lifting up.

Efecto seda un poco distinto del habitual. En Dénia.

I am tired of explanations. Unless they are spoken

by the best mouths. Black bear coming up from

sleep, growling her happiness. Nighthawks snap-

ping their way through the dusk. Or the voice of

the wind itself. flailing out of any and every quarter

of the sky.

Especially in summer. Especially in the fields, close

to the ground. Listen! Let the high branches go on

with their opera, it's the song of the fields I wait

for, when the shy turns orange and the wind arrives,

waving his thousand arms. Or, autumn! I hurry out

to the middle of the field and stand where the

tough goldenrod, seeded and tasseled, is vigorously

tossing--until something thankful rises from my

own body. The goldenrod lashes back and forth,

each stem on its knuckled foot. Yes! Yes! Yes! And

then the dry earth begins to anticipate, and then I

fall to my knees, and then the flowers cry out, and

then the wind breaks open its silver countries of

rain.

My idea for this shot was a girl's hand holding the scarf as it's almost blowing away. But, doing this as a SP proved to be way too difficult so I just shot Michael doing it. The effect is definitely different from my original idea (!), but I still think it works.
