The wind kicked up the dust this afternoon before the storm. When the rain finally fell, it literally rained mud. I probably didn't do the dirty windows the justice they deserve. Time to wash the windows but I guess I'll wait for the SNOW to stop falling.

Rather windy here in the UK most of our neighbours fence lines have blown down and one or two trees to. So don't think I will be going out not sure I could handle a bad wild hair day

Driving home from Yosemite I finally got a chance to photograph these awesome wind turbines! Actually caught a vulture in the pic too! Eyes wide open!

Summer attire, for Newfoundland, Canada.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe train No. 14 heads east through the snow at Grizzly, Montana, on February 28, 1997. Former Colorado and Southern SD40 No. 6339 leads the train into an oppressive wind that is carrying the powdery snow high in the air in its wake. The awesome mountains of Glacier National Park are cloaked in falling snow in the background.

I dropped by my friend Gina's house yesterday, and on the way out became entranced by the way the wind and light were playing with the prayer flags on her porch.

I reprocessed this image for this post. Originally posted to my Back Roads blog this this is new to Flickr.

 

Temperatures are below freezing today with wind chills expected to hit -30 F. Amish life is difficult to say the least in weather like we have now.
