This morning the rain stopped, the clouds moved on and the sun came out. Perfect time for a few macro shots!

Learned an important lession today as well. Use a tripod rather than a monopod!

I love these flowers. They come twice a year here. It is once in the fall and once in the spring.

They make an awesome background for any portrait.

There's been an initiative in our local park this year to plant wild flowers to attract more native insects. They are in full bloom right now and looking gorgeous! 🌷🐝🌿🌸🐜🌻🌹🌿🐞🌼

On a hike, I ran across these wild mushrooms. I'm not sure if these are even edible or not? It's been years since I've picked and enjoyed eating wild mushrooms and no longer feel confident in identifying them. If anyone knows anything about these please let me know. I'll error on the side of caution by letting them be.

This was taken with the Nikon 70-200mm VR and TC-20E II at 150mm with an SB800 flash. I wasn't expecting any close-up photography on this hike.

So beautiful

this guy just stood there and let me take some shots of him :} They are so beautiful I think what makes them even more beautiful is that they are wild and so majestic. I called him the "High Horse" cuz he just stood there with this look on his face and he kept shaking his head while Niko was growling him xD

Spotted these wild flowers growing out of Whitehaven Harbour wall. Took the picture looking down the face of the wall so the water became the background.

This is beautiful flowers are growing wild, derived from the shoots of the previous pictures...

I took this in Santa Cruz, California USA with my newest craigslist find. I bought a German made, medium format camera called a Dacora Digna. I used a variety of films and settings to find out how well it worked. The results were mixed but I will use it more in the future. The glass optics and dual aperture settings (f/8, f/11) give me a few more options. The film winding is stiff and loose so light leaks are the result. This was taken at the Wilder Cliff area using slide film for a saturated look.

This is day 2 of my "Go Wild" series. I am showing my love for my favorite hockey team, The Minnesota Wild. To see day 1 of the series, click here

A brief description of the pictures.

1) Wearing a Wild sweatshirt, you can't really see it, but on the left side of the shirt it says "Minnesota Wild" and on the right is the embossed Wild logo. I am also wearing a Wild winter hat.

2) Another Wild sweatshirt. On my head is the same hat as shown in picture #1, but it's turned inside out. It's reversible. In picture #1 it is black and says Wild. In picture #2 it is green and says Minnesota.

3) Another Wild sweatshirt (My favorite one). On my head is a different Wild winter hat.

4) In this one I'm wearing a Wild practice jersey (there are other colors for the practice jerseys, but this is the only color I own..... So far, anyway.) On my head is yet another Wild winter hat. I'm standing in our stairwell, on the wall behind me is a Minnesota Wild blanket.
