Wild rabbit resting in the foliage

A small poster in the museum.

Cliff trails at Wilder Ranch State Park, Santa Cruz, CA. I don't usually ride these trails, but I was lazy this day and headed out there for the sunset.

Wild Tiger Lilies are blooming along the rural roads everywhere right now.

Wild Monkey on the MacLehose Trail, they were very friendly... They probably thought I had food...

I've been a fan of wild goose chase's stream for some time.

Her still life photos are such an inspiration to me. I love the artistic ideas and unusual compositions and combinations.

The series 'a series of unsuitable nests' is fantastic.

It's turkey mating time. All around the San Francisco bay area the flocks of turkeys are doing their thing. It is so weird to hear them drag their wings against the ground on the pavement when the cross the road. Bill Walker and I watched two tom turkeys line up side to side, wing to wing, and strut a line, heads turned, staring eye to eye - the loser ran away, the winner kept the nearby female. I haven't seen an actual spur fight, but I think I'm going to keep my eyes open next Tuesday - by end of April the females will have disappeared to nest.

Brussels.

The Florists’ Gardens are certainly among the most beautiful green areas of the Brussels region. Hosting old greenhouses from the time of Leopold II who has initiated this park, the Florist’s Gardens also offer a magnificent view on the city and are a harbor of piece close to one of the most visited attractions of Brussels, the Atomium.

Sobieski park is the Park adjoining the Colonial Garden and the Florists' Garden.

The Florists’ Gardens can be reached via the Sobieski park (close to metro Stuyvenbergh).

This morning in the sand dunes @ Holme NWT reserve. A wild asparagus plant loaded with berries

OK, so maybe feral is a better word than wild. Every island we were on had chickens running wild. I asked a native about them, could somebody just conk one of the head and have it for dinner? He told me that they were pretty gamey, he would gut them and put them in a bag with a fresh papaya cut into chunks for 24 hours and THEN you could grill it.

Wild roses of Cape Ann!

A rose is sweet, No matter where it grows ;

and roses grow, Nursed by the pure heavens

and the strengthening earth,

Wherever men will let them. Every waste

And solitary place is glad for them,

Since the old prophet sang so, until now.

But our wild roses, flavored with the sea,

And colored by the salt winds and much sun

To healthiest intensity of bloom, —

We think the world has none so beautiful.

Even from his serious height, the Puritan

Stooped to their fragrance, and recorded them

"Sweet single roses," maidens of the woods,

The lovelier for their virgin singleness.

Fifty Wild Horses of 194 gathered at the Fish Creek Herd Management Area were released Jan. 10, 2025, near Eureka, Nevada. The purpose of the gather is critical to prevent undue or unnecessary degradation of the public lands associated with excess wild horses, and to restore a thriving natural ecological balance and multiple-use relationship on public lands, consistent with the provisions of Section 1333(b) of the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act. None were injured and 144 will be available for sale or adoption through a Bureau of Land Management program.

The EF-S 10-22mm is such a wonderful lens. Each time I use it, I find more to like about it.

I have wild white and red roses growing out out of the rocks and brush just above the lakefront...the white ones smell incredibly delicious!

We came across a pack of wild dingo in the mangroves. They looked very much adapted to living in the mangroves. There were a few pups unfortunately, they were quite shy.
