Wild horse at Spring Mountains, Nevada. Would you believe that's only an hours drive from the neon tackiness of Vegas? I wouldn't, either.
This is kinda scary. This is Tuck right after a shower. His hair is kinda.... hmm.... long. Kara thought he was a woman from behind yesterday! Hmm.. Kinda makes you wonder.. Which is worse.. the fact that Tuck's hair is that long, or that these days women have hair that short... lol....

This is "Julius Squeezer" - Burmese Python
Julius is quite large, about 12 feet long and 65 pounds, according to his handlers. It takes three people to carry him safely. He is an animal ambassador at the SDZ Safari Park.
The Burmese python is one of the five largest snakes in the world, native to a large variation of tropic and sub-tropic areas of Southern- and Southeast Asia.
They are often found near water and are sometimes semi-aquatic, but can also be found in trees. They are also excellent swimmers, being able to stay submerged for up to half an hour.
Burmese pythons are carnivorous. Their diet consists primarily of appropriately sized birds, mammals
and vermin. IUCN has recently listed the Burmese python as "Vulnerable". Wikipedia

Wild dogs in Botswana. Wild dogs are extremely rare. Our guide was very excited to see these - probably happens only a couple of times per year. These are two adolescents practicing their skills for fun. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Wild_Dog)
another near-by pool, softbottomed, close to an outcropping of rocks is often an alternative to to the partially cemmet coverd main pool. this spring morning, however, it definately did not appeal to us.
These things grow wild in my garden...I think the birds dropped seeds there. They have an amazing Garlicy Oniony smell to them but I'm afraid to cook with them.
It is breeding season for Wild Turkeys in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas. These shots were captured at Port Mansfield, Willacy County. The Valley is abundant with wildlife. Not the quality I would like but it was cloudy and rainy and they were a good distance from me.

Wilder Wein im Herbst hat etwas besonderes - erst die Wunderbaren gelben, orangefarbenen und roten Blätter, dann die seltsam anmutenden leeren Blattstiele.
Virgina creeper in autumn has something special - first the wonderful yellow orange and red coloured leaves then the strange looking empty leaf stalks.
I was driving along through the Trossachs when I noticed a group of animals walking around at the side of the road. I could say I am not kidding you.....no pun intended but there were loads of wild goats wandering around. What a fantastic find. Well worth a visit but they are difficult to photograph as they never stay still.
The Indian Wild buffalo (Gaur) is among the heaviest mammals with only the elephant, hippopotamus (and one other animal i can't remember) heavier than it. Predators fear the male which is extremely sinewy...but the female is more comical. :)
Not everday that you can see a wild horse strolling down a major highway. Unfortunately it happens a lot in Corolla Beach, NC in the Outer Banks, and a lot of them have died by car accident. They said they were up near Corolla Beach but I had little hopes of actually seeing one. But alas soon as we got there, one was in the middle of the road.
