Like a wild flower; she spent her days, allowing herself to grow, not many knew of her struggle, but eventually all; knew of her light.

Walking a nature trail in Ottawa I decided to put on my very old Takumar 135/3.5 preset. A bunch of wild turkeys come walking down the trail. So this is one of the better pics I got using a MF lens. Oh and I hadn't noticed that my thumb moved the iso from Auto to 8000. Thanks Topaz software.
Wildensteiner Wasserfall, the Alps, Austria.
Picture of an analog 1989 picture.
Shot originally with a Rollei 35 S and Agfa Color 100 ASA film.
Digitalization with a Fujifilm GFX 50s II and 35-70mm lens. I tried to give it a look of an Ektachrome or Kodachrome photograph.
Maybe a tad too dark:-)

We walked from Capel Curig to Llyn Cowlyd through to the Ogwen Valley and back to Capel Curig. During our walk we saw a number of wild Carneddau ponies. This particular pony posed very nicely for us; as for his collegues, well they were a little bit more shy.
If the last ten years is any indication, most of the people I know have either had Thanksgiving in October, don't have Thanksgiving at all; or are taking the day off anyway.
To those of you who don't know what a Wild Turkey looks like, this tom made advances at me 12 years ago on Mt. Diablo during mating season. By the time I had the camera to my eye, he was too close to get his full, beautiful display. Consider this a portrait of a missing snood, black beard, blue head, caruncles, and a wattle.
To all, a happy Thanksgiving day.
I have a love hate relationship with winter… when the sun comes out you get amazing light conditions, but it doesn't happen often enough :(

The Wild Moor
One from the weekend and a snowy Alston Moor just outside the village of Nenthead in Cumbria.
I love this location, the grasses and the wall winding its way into the distance....beautiful but so bloody cold.

I love being able to photograph ponies and horses free of bridles and saddles, and was lucky enough to find a small herd of wild ponies right on the top of the Penmaenmawr quarry. Their habitat has the most amazing views in every direction.
These Ponies are not the most beautiful but there is something intriguing about them. They're strong and resilient and.....look like Pirates. They've got dreads and everything!
Alaska doesn't have many roads - but the few we have, wind their way through the most beautiful untamed country in the world.
If you plan a drive through Alaska - I would suggest doing so in the month of May. It is warm - there are no mosquitos - the mountains are snow covered - the days are long - and the wildlife can be easily seen. It is the perfect time of year to capture some amazing images.
