Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
- Harriet Tubman -
One could say the artist focussed on the wall to visualize the relationship between it and the people infront of it. It is always there at the same place, the people are always in a rush, always in motion, hard to grasp.

Spearfishing requires so much more precision and skill than traditional pole fishing. Glad he was able to shoot so many fish this past weekend. Made for some delicious homemade fish tacos ;) I just love everything about this photo - the ridiculous (yet necessary) wetsuit, the camera mounted on his head, the colors, & most of all, the SMILE - proud of the haul.
Taken during a "Booze Cruise" I did on my last week in New York.

So, you remember there was going to be cherries three ways...
Somehow, these days, there's always a hiccup between idea and execution. But still. Look at the lovely glossy cherries. That's a whole lot of stones to spit in graceful arcs into the trash / out of the window / at your dinner companion. Whatever you prefer. There really is no elegant way to deal with cherry stones. You want elegance, you need to pick a non stoned fruit. Or, indeed, a bar of chocolate. (Yeah, sorry, losing my thread there.)
So, I'm kind of thinking about building a photography website (a very loose use of the word building there), and wonder if any of you have recommendations about either good photography template websites or tips on doing it yourself. Any and all ideas gratefully received. Pretty please. :)

Scanned. Created outline by removing all whitespace leaving only the black line art. Created the "40k" (stands for knots, nautical term for mile/hour) and half circle in Photoshop. Printed a copy and handpainted it with watercolor. Scanned it back into Photoshop and layered the line art skeleton back over it to give it some depth.
For TRP: Whitespace Wednesday
Today I got my softboxes kit set thingy, consisting of two 200W strobes, 2 softboxes and 2 stands. I now have more light then I can handle...LOL
Thanx to Jeanique for pointing out i might need a flash shoe for the cable, I just managed to get one in time.
I must say it's quite tricky to work with, but that's just me learning. Haven't figurd out what the dial at the back really does, and what the best settings on my cam need to be, but hey only 99 days to figure that out LOL.
For FGR: Monsters!
Ahum, well he is a little monster isn't he! He didn't really want to be in the shot so after this picture was made he jumped out of my arms and scratched open my lip...the blood thirsty monster!!! ;-)
The logos have been developed by Edinburgh-based digital firm Whitespace, which has been responsible for designs used by Tennent’s Lager, Highland Spring and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The images will appear on the front of each of the 27 trams below the driver’s window and also on the side of several carriages.
Leaflets, timetables and even Ridacards are eventually expected to carry the new designs. The logos will also appear on the new travel shop being opened on Waverley Bridge.
The branding is based on a round circle that contains a simple interconnecting route map.
It has been billed as showcasing the “interchange terminals of passengers and the strategic approach of collaboration between modes of transport within the Transport for Edinburgh family”.
Madder – a deep reddish, purple colour – will feature in all the logos. Transport leaders wanted to retain the distinct colour because of its use historically on Lothian Buses vehicles.
The branding process for the trams has cost about £80,000.
Each 45m-long tram will be “dressed” with the new logos and colour scheme at a cost of £2554 for each vehicle ahead of the line’s operational launch by May next year.
Some new vehicles in the Lothian Buses fleet will display the branding from next month, but logos will only be added to others as they are replaced in efforts to save cash
For this week’s challenge I tried to think of a subject matter which is often in the news, something that could be used by other designers to promote a theme or be used to support a campaign, message or action.
I decided to use a combination of the energy market and the feeling of wasted potential and/or energy efficiency. The muted colour range and the wall with multiple cracks and imperfection all helps to mimic the feeling of stress and wasted potential within the shot.
With almost an open direction this week the CreativeCommon challenge has already produced some really interesting shots.
This shot was used on the Scope 'DigitalDetox' www.thedigitaldetox.co.uk/ National campaign.

3/52 - 52 weeks: the 2012 edition
Was over at a friend's house yesterday with my daughter. The kids played dress up and did a fashion show. I grabbed my camera and quickly got my 3rd capture for the 52 week project! :)
