Come on… you know you want to fave this photo. #WhiteSpace

I am so mad about LDD telling me that those fire-pieces existed in trans-orange when in reality they only exist in regular orange.

Macro shot of chalk, water, oil. exposure and clarity adjusted slightly.

I love taking tiny things out of context, it makes them seem REALLY big!

Not that I believe there's any such thing. And anyway, I can't decide between number 5 and number 9.

So, as June gales rage outside, the washing machine heaves a huge sigh of relief, spits out the washing, and returns to its familiar place in front of the paparazzo's lens.

Also for MSH's a little OCD. Not that I'm obsessive and compulsive about negative space. Oh no. But because today saw me lining matches up with a ruler. And then wiggling them away from it. Artistic licence, innit.

This is a fly-by (again). Back to catch up with you all later tonight.

This photo has been taken from the inner square of building of The Russian Academy of Sciences.

Muscovites called this skyscraper built in early 90's as "Golden Brains" because of large strange-shaped golden-colored structure on the top floor.

There are few rumors about its functions. Some says that it's solar batteries. Others says that it's large transmitter for brainwashing.

Curious, white space, two in one.

Also I'd like to say, I had a hard time finishing this one. Once I got the chassis and shoulders put together, I almost stopped and called it a micro-garc. Its nose was a stud longer at the time though. Some of the other pics show what I'm talking about better.

DId any of you sleep well last night?

I was hoping what happened to flickr before I went to bed was just a nightmare.

But no, woke up to this morning's paper outlining the "NEED" by CEO's Marissa Mayer to "IMPROVE" flickr . . .

According to the article by Timothy B. Lee of The Washington Post,

"Yahoo's acquisition of Tumblr for $1.1 billion is a big gamble by Marissa Mayer, the company's recently hired CEO." Tumblr folks? Ah, I think I get it . . . FLICKR . . .

TUMBLR . . . let's pick another name for the next COOL fad.

"Part of Tumblr's charm is its minimalist design and simple user interface. Yet part of Mayer's argument for the acquisition is that Tumblr can BENEFIT from integration into Yahoo's personalization, search and advertising platforms. But it's not clear that these changes will improve the experience for Tumblr users. And more importantly the integration process will be a major distraction for the firm's engineers and management.

Mayer became interested in Tumblr because it was just the kind of property that Yahoo needed to make it both 'cool' and relevant to new consumers.

That ambivalent attitude toward technology was one reason Yahoo lost its dominance of the search market early in the last decade. And it explains why Yahoo failed to capitalize on the early popularity of Flickr and del.icio.us, two sites Yahoo acquired in 2005 and has done little to improve. In all these cases, Yahoo squandered an early lead a more nimble, programmer-focused companies built superior products." ~ Timothy B. Lee, The Washington Post

Competition? Money? Greed? Insecurity? All in the name of what?

IMPROVE? WHAT NEEDED IMPROVING?

NOTE: I ADDED THE WHITE SPACE AROUND MY PHOTO . . . JUST ANOTHER STEP FORCED UPON ME to add some kind of breathing S P A C E. . . . . WHY is it that whatever the flickr staff decides is good enough for everybody else?

I never really ventured into the clothing/soft lines section of this store very often, but I believe this aisle space would have at least had a display or two here prior to the sale starting.

I used white cardstock as my base, left lots of white space and put embellishments on the white space of my photo.

Much more practical with four legs!
