I used white cardstock as my base, left lots of white space and put embellishments on the white space of my photo.

Oh yeah! I was supposed to finish this two years ago.
Now it is time for the details. Be sure to pay attention to the darkest areas. Add the blackest blacks to heighten depth and contrast. Balance the darkest areas by adding them throughout the drawing. Don’t be afraid to leave some areas without detail, too. Depending on your style you may want to spend a lot of time bringing out all the detail, but even then having whitespace is important to creating depth. Good luck finding your happy medium.
You will need to use a coversheet now to protect your drawing. Don’t want to drag your hands through your work, do we?
If you’re pleased with the results, get some Spray Fix and protect your pencils. Good job!
Truth be told, the Frozen Cakes sign is roughly the same size as the original Bountiful version, but for some reason it seems a little lonely up there after the remodel: not necessarily a bad thing if you're a fan of lotsa whitespace!
