Historic Highway 1, now PTH 44, just west of the town of West Hawk, Manitoba. This stretch of highway is also part of the La Vérendrye Trail, a series of highways commemorating the oldest waterway fur-trading route in Manitoba.
Some believe that the petroforms were placed to leave directions for others to use.

This picture was taken in Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park. I was about to get my tripod when I had some sort of allergic reaction and my eyes started burning like crazy. I had to stop shooting and so, unfortunately, this blurry image is the best I have of that spectacular sunset. The colours are so nice (it's completely unedited) that I thought I would post it anyway.

First time down at the cottage with my Digital SLR. Decided it was a fine evening to go take some photos. So I went for a drive to capture a little piece of the beauty in the most beautiful part of our province, the Whiteshell Provincial Park.
