"We don't want small-scale change. We're looking for Alberta-wide change. We're looking for solar panels on the roof of every school. We're looking for students who are being inspired by their teachers like we are, and we can only achieve these things with your help," said Leah Buchanan, a grade 11 student from Queen Elizabeth High School to Alberta's ministers of education and environment as she presented the student white paper on Climate Leadership in Alberta Schools. Clearly it was Bring Your Camera to the Office day for me. These are my favorite (cheap) colored pens. I have a system and you don't mess with the colored pen system.

Students at Queen Elizabeth High School are growing plants in their classroom. Students said that they've learned that studies have shown that having plants helps increase concentration - and they seem to enjoy learning about growing things too. Student authors of the Climate Leadership white paper on climate change in schools want more hans-on opportunities for students.
