Photographing smoke art is one of the most rewarding aspects of home photography. We've all seen the wispy strands that float and glide through the air, but it's not until these trails are frozen in time do we see the true beauty and elegance of their construction.
In many images it's possible to see a subject within the smoke.
The advantage of smoke art photography is that - compared to water droplets - the patterns take longer to form so it's easier to judge when to take the shot. It's when the scene is viewed on the screen that the true diversity and uniqueness of the patterns is realised.
This was processed in Photoshop to highlight the patterns that exist within the formations.
It's so great that legs were also included for Whisp, although it was kind of funny removing just the lower half of a body with shoes from the box!
Cubes and strange clouds, or whisps of smoke curling around an unknown doorway.
Handwoven raw silk in playful form. Tapestry woven designs of reds and oranges adorn this texturally woven chartreuse scarf. Amid the cubes and stripes are loosley woven sections giving the piece a beautiful drape adn supple feel.
For everyday wear, a night out, unconventional wedding wear, It will keep you warm throughout the winter, or break the chill on a summer night in the mountains.
It is 9.5 x 78 inches + approx. 3 inches of hand-knotted fringe on each end.

With just a whisp of exhaust visible on a hot summer morning, LMS Stanier Pacific No. 46233 "Duchess of Sutherland" thunders impressively through Willington hauling the Vintage Trains 07:53 Tyseley to Scarborough charter "The Scarborough Flyer" on 12th July 2014. Tyseley Class 47/7 No. D1755 (47773) in BR two tone green livery was on the rear of this working.
Stevens Pass. I displeased some people in order to pull off the road for this view. But it was worth it.
"Clouds on clouds, in volumes driven, curtain round the vault of heaven" ~ Thomas Love Peacock
I was walking into work this morning, admiring God's beautiful art work in the sky when I saw this very long cloud... not sure if it was a jetstream or maybe even a funnel cloud. Any way, the thing that really caught my eye was the fact that there was a shadow behind it. I've never seen a cloud with a shadow... have you?
On a side note.... we experienced an earthquake this afternoon.. scared me BIG TIME... I work on the 4th floor and the top of our building was swaying.. couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Thought my sugar had dropped.. later found out a lot of people felt the same way... pretty scary...
The Blue Fairy Whispers to Pinocchio, 1995

Its a hum dinger if i do say so.

This apple looks so photoshopped. It wasn't, so can't for the life of me work out why it's shadowed on the wrong side. Put a hook in the ceiling today, so this is the first of many fishing line photos that are coming your way.
Ignore the 3 year old tee shirt (I'm no longer a fan of acdc, ahaha!), unmakeuped skin and small whisp of greasy hair. Its only a practise shot, for something much better to come.
help!
i'm totally stumped on where to go from here. all the elements i want are here, but i can't seem to get them to work together.
edit: slight tweak to the titling.
She had just been thrashed by Molly Brown, a nine year old sow who literally went up the tree after her...
Orange Delight Series - Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant. Beautiful shades of orange, whisps of pink, and touch of purple in this pendant.
Truly, One-of-a-Kind!
These clouds were sufficiently thin and scattered to allow a fine array of blue tones in this image. The whole photo has a rather semi-abstract appearance.
