I decided to re-upload this photo because I wasn't happy with the version I had uploaded before. This image is a lot more true to what it looked like in person:)

To begin, I almost toppled a dry stone wall this morning whilst in my first attempt at this photo! (Who knew they weren't actually held together by anything secure??) Secondly, I've made a new friend at this location as it is the second time I've been up here to shoot and this friend is a horse, who has blue eyes and a white coat with black spots and who is completely lovely. She whinnied and ran from the top of the field to greet me. I had no carrots but gave her a good pat and snuggle with the promise to bring carrots tomorrow...
And third,
Things that I really like:
(a partial list I compiled while running today)...
- staring into the sun (and the spots behind your eyelids)
- streaky skies full of depth and color
- watching birds feed and fly
- finding that space when you're running where you feel really, really good
- horses
- snuggling with my little bug
- taking photographs and creating imagery
- finding inspiration in the littlest things around me
- frozen lakes
- Saturdays
- triangle pose
- reading interesting stories
- music
- the rising and setting sun
- harvest moons
- summer
- my family & friends
- and last but not least, my husband, when he listens to me and feigns interest in my little world...
(this list is not inclusive).
;)
This is a close-up of the back of the Smoketree necklace. This is the actual 'smoke' from the tree. At certain times of the year if you stand back from the tree and squint these whisps look like puffs of smoke.
Clouds rolling through the sky
Neverending whisps of white
Sometimes black with rainy drops
Falling on the thirsty ground.
6960 Raveningham Hall with correct tender enters Arley station, the whisp of hair belongs to my late father The Gaffer, although this tender is correct for 6960 she had actually swapped with 4930, when 6960 left, the tenders were swapped back, if you ever get the chance to see 7819's tender, look at the plate on the back, it says SVR 1, tenders are quite often rebuilt 3205, 3442, 7812, 7819, 7325/9303, 43106 have all had tenders rebuilt over the years, but 7819 is the only one to have SVR 1 or anyother SVR number on it
Signed into livejournal one night and someone was selling the SDCC exclusive, and was willing to split them up - so happy to have Whisp.

Went out for a Hummingbird that I saw whisping through the yard. Found that a passing storm had discombobulated a few of the honey bees in the area when I saw this big fella. These things scare the hell out of me. I was once attacked and stung over thirty times, and these have a reputation of being quite nasty. I don't mind telling you that I had to accommodate my shutter speed for my shaking hands.
night time view - darn clouds were moving in, those are the white whisps in the photo
view large to see the trajectory of one plane (very clear) and one satellite (can you see it?)
the light over the ridge is probably from the city lights of Bellingham and the I-5 corridor of towns and cities
Just gone 7 o'clock and the whisps of mist start to vanish from the lakes surface as the weak Spring sun forces it's way through the cloud.
