When life overwhelms us with its demands and problems, we can find moments of tranquility and happiness in nature. Looking at a beautiful landscape we realise that happiness lies in simple pleasures.
When i'm editing my photos and one comes along like this i know why canals are my favourite subject to photograph .They are so tranquil with a beauty that changes with the seasons .......love em.......Stourbridge & Birmingham Canal,Stourton to Stourbridge, Worcestershire,England
I'm really missing the hills and mountains, especially in their winter coat. I was lucky last year with trips to the Dolomites and Snowdonia, and before that Skye and Torridon. This is much closer to home, the Brecon Beacons, a pre sunrise glow from Pen Y fan. Always worth the effort, hopefully we'll be allowed to travel a little shortly. when Doves Cry is by the Be Good Tanyas.
When you are in an isolated beach ready to have a swim and you suspect that someone is spying on you :).
When you come for the sunset and these guys provide a bonus. Check out the water droplets coming off the board.

Another image from Lake Bled. After being very excited about my first long exposures I thought that I didn't want my girlfriend to wait any longer and hence I packed up my gear. We then enjoyed the gorgeous view together and as we wanted to leave they turned on the lights on the island and I thought that this might be the perfect opportunity to get even more beautiful reflections than in my previous image. Hence I took out my camera again and took a few final long exposures of this evening, where a huge thanks goes to my girlfriend for waiting patiently! Hope you like it!
Most of my visits here i wish the boats to be facing into the sun, but in this case the light was perfect, love this place, you never know what you are going to find in the way of boat positions water around them, the light plays a big part on this vast sandy beach.
