When I saw the fog this morning, decided to go out to shoot some photos. However, as I was driving around, the fog started fading and the rain arrived. Very wet, cloudy spring morning.
October is a period of two seasons for us. Sometimes it looks quite nice when autumn and winter collide in a moment.

When it comes to photographing the autumn in all its magnificence this place, the Priessnitz waterfall in the Dresden Heather, is one of the best places around here for me. Because of this thick broadleaf forest, that is covering the ground with a carpet of leafs since decades, you have a tuly explosion of colours every year. When the leafs furthermore have this typical rain soaked glance its forming a farytale world.
Wenn es darum geht, den Herbst in seiner ganzen Pracht zu fotografieren, ist für mich dieser Ort, der Priesnitz Wasserfall in der Dresdner Heide, einer der besten Plätze hier in der Gegend. Durch den dichten Laubwald der den Boden seit Jahrzehnten mit einem Teppich aus Blättern belegt kommt es hier jährlich zu einer wahren Explosion an Farben. Wenn dann die Blätter noch diesen typischen regennassen Glanz haben, entsteht eine wahre Märchenwelt.

I was on one of my un-navigated, directionless walkabouts with nothing particular in mind when I happened around a corner to be presented with the above, behind a row of private garages, it struck me with this little seat propped onto of these tyres, unlike the parasites we suffer unto as what we call a monarchy, living amongst stolen gold and tax evading luxury at our expense, by merely being born of chance, who pay for nothing in the middle of a cost of living crisis, flying around in private jets whilst the rest of us are soon to be ordered to stay at home thanks to the climate change hoax!

When I looked up and saw this stunning creature feeding in soft, lovely light it felt ethereal to me. For photographers out in nature, these are the moments that live in our minds.
Sirmione, Italy, 2019. The daily tourists are finally away, the little town of Sermione can finally rest till they return on the next day... and on the day after... and so on and so on...
