I am very excited to see this on the scale. I haven't seen the 130's since I was a junior in high school, and I was very unhealthy about loosing weight. Can't wait to see this go lower :)

2 months into dieting and I have lost 26 pounds. I am hungry.

Olivia -Ive been sitting at a 30kg loss for about 3 months now and all though losing so much weight has done wonders for my health overall, there’s also some factors that make things hard to progress. I said I would share everything about this journey and this is definitely not the celebratory part.

I have PCOS, and thyroid issues, and now there’s a high chance of endometriosis, though this can take years to diagnose. A lot of the time it feels like things are becoming impossible, and like the harder I try to improve my health, these issues keep holding me back. I’m most certainly not giving up, but I’m trying to work through the obstacles as best I can.

Thankfully I enjoy nourishing my body with healthy plant-based food, and I love my training so regardless of whether I’m making progress on the scales, I love how it feels to treat my body well, and give it the best chance to deal with the other issues going on. I won’t deny that the hormonal issues and the painful cramps etc aren’t discouraging, and I’m trying to validate my experience more and have some self-compassion instead of feeling like I have to keep going hard no matter what!

To anyone else out there who feels like their health issues are holding them back - don’t give up, and don’t compare yourself to the progress of others!

Only lost 5lb this month, despite 8 hours a week in the gym, and burning off 800 calories whilst I am there, but I am certainly fitter, running further, cycling further and rowing longer. Also doing far more reps with the weights... so something is happening, so hopefully, soon, the weight will come off a bit faster too. But no weight gain, and that's good :-)

Every day there is a new fad or diet telling women they need to be skinny and small because that is attractive.

Another month of making the opposite of progress. A total gain of 4 pounds, and I'm pretty much back where I started from at the start of the year.

Definitely less chunky looking, lol. Smoother, a little slimmer over all. RECIPES -

Days 1-3

Berries & Coconut Oatmeal (3 servings)

3 cups oats

3 cups berries

3 tbsp coconut

3 cups plant milk

Put all of your ingredients into jar and fill with plant milk.

When ready to eat microwave for 2 minutes with lid off.

Zucchini noodles salad (3 servings)

1 package of tofu pressed and chopped

1 zucchini julienned

1 cucumber

1 carrot julienned

1/4 cup cilantro

1 green onion chopped

Dressing

1/2 cup almond butter (can sub peanut)

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

3 tbsp low sodium Tamari or coconut aminos

3 tbsp maple syrup

Juice 1 lime

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ginger powder

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1/4 cup water

Put all dressing ingredients into a bowl and add water slowly to get the consistency you want. Whisk together.

Rice and potato curry (3 servings)

3 cups cooked rice white or brown

4 red potatoes diced

1 cup red lentils

1 cup coconut milk

1.5 cups water

1 carrot chopped

1 tbsp curry powder

1 tsp garlic powder

Place everything in a saucepan on your stove bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a simmer. In the instant pot place everything in your pot and cook for 15 minutes natural release.

Days 4&5

Chocolate Strawberry Smoothies ( 2 servings)

6 frozen bananas

4 tbsp raw cashews

2 tbsp cacao powder

2 cups strawberries

Break bananas into chunks and place 3 each in a 32oz mason jar, add the rest of your ingredients and freeze. When ready to eat fill jar with water and pour into blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

Waldorf salad (2 servings)

6 cups mixed greens
