I can remember to sit on that bench, together with my grandfather. We eat an apple together. He explains to me that you can even eat the brown parts of a windfall apple. I am 6 or 7 years old.
Been working on my home theater the last week, (all week). It's getting there and it looks fairly decent, considering I'm doing all the work myself, which i really enjoy.

Wishing Well is a multi-media sculpture located at the Genesis Centre for Community Wellness, in Calgary, Alberta.
Text messages sent by visitors are translated into Braille and then interpreted into sound and light.
The sculpture is a reflective "seed" that has split open to reveal a smaller seed within.

TMSH - The reflections on the surface of the polished surface of the sculpture are superficial.
I don't ordinarily find things lost on Stevens Creek Trail through McClellan Ranch Park. Finding a solitary glove works out just fine. I've been on the lookout for one. Or more.

I am anticipating a solitary bee will reside in the tiny domicile,
titled The Bee Bird Cuckoo House.

This bee home for solitaries is a collaboration between Mike Cameron (design, fabrication, concept), Sarah Peebles (concept) and Seri Robinson (wood spalting). Spalting is a process where wood is imbued - either naturally or intentionally - with fungus. Seri is an international expert on spalting and experiments with different types of wood and fungi of many colours, and we're using wood from her lab at the University of Toronto Department of Forestry. We wanted to create work at the intersection of design, bio art, and pollinatiion ecology.

This piece didn't get any home makers last year, but we're looking foreward to watching colourful overlapping structures unfold as bees and wasps of different sizes and colour patterns bring in nesting materials and pollen of varying hues. The combination of nest architectures, bodies in motion, fungus patterns in wood - all of which change in time - should be a treat! (You can see an example of colourful cells from the Audio Bee Booth at the Tree Museum installation in this photostream)

"Our newest weekend project is inspired by this 1975 image by Lew Thomas, entitled "The Vacuum", recently on view at the SF Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).

"During the next two weeks, select a scene, subject(s) , or object(s), take multiple images, then piece them together to form a whole. Images may be printed, cut and placed together to form a new whole, and rephotographed, or may be combined in a photo manipulation program to achieve the same effect.
"You may be creative with your reconstruction by making it representative or as abstract as you desire.
"Like all our weekend projects we want to encourage you to create new works of photography. You are allowed to tag up to six images total that will be published on Utata.org. We store books up to the ceiling, to which I pressed the camera head-over to take this picture. Motivation for this shot was overthemoon's mentioning of Flan O'Brian (the green book on the left (unread) side).
I doubt that I will ever read all books on the right side - Milton and Rabelais here (all orange) are candidates for "not now, later" reading.
