You can turn every lens into a macro lens by turning it upside down.

Freelensing. I'm not entirely convinced I was "doing it right," but I like this picture, so why not?

After the hottest night of the year. Later the day became gray & cloudy.

the colours came out strangely but I was shooting into a very hot, strong and dazzling sun.

Here is another one of my weekend adventures. The fruit is from the local grocery store. The rock is a product of my front yard flower bed. The lighting is natural.

Have a great weekend.

Sidebar: Hey Lil' Lady in Lower Alabama, the big dawg is off of the porch. Ha! Ha! Hee! Hee!! LOL:)

A line of stones of unclear purpose.

It's raining outside but no amount of water will bring these flowers back to life. Shot for the Utata Weekend Project - Missing Water.

It seemed like there were Tango dancers on every corner competing for tips and trying to bring customers into their establishments.. Great to watch. The dancers were all excellent.

Something is not really the yellow of the egg if it is not optimal. It is a very common but relatively young expression, the first written reference dates from 1966.

I've been attempting some photos of water for next weeks Macro Mondays. This one is outside the size parameters but it fits into the Utata weekend project Shiny.

About the kitchen table and chairs: These have been in my family since the 1920's at least, when Prohibition turned the family bar into the family ice cream parlor. This set was painted sunny yellow in the seventies and was used in my family kitchen throughout my childhood and teens. It was recently painted brown and used as patio furniture.

I ate many sunday breakfasts and family dinners and learned how to do crafts on this table.

Like other ice halos, 22° halos appear when the sky is covered by thin cirrus or cirrostratus clouds that often come a few days before a large storm front. However, the same clouds can also occur without any associated weather change, making a 22° halo unreliable as a sign of bad weather.
