Utata ~ Weekend Project ~ "Icy"

"Maybe it's cold enough where you are to actually have water and ice falling out of the sky and forming in drifts and/or frozen puddles all around you. Perhaps you are living in a warm zone, sipping on drinks with a few cubes tossed in, or might have found a polar bear dwelling in your city.

"In any case, the theme for the next fortnight is "ICY", meaning your image should include some ice, of the frozen-water type."

The ice on the lake has broken up into interesting shapes.

Our contribution to this Magic Cut Vimeo Weekend project (working on another production that will be more as described in the project). Yeah, the cuts needs a little more work...but I could not find the heart not to use these clips, nor to do it all over again, under the drenching rain.

Circular fire ghost. I don't have a better name for it 'cause it's not lens flair.

(hopes) - the last word in a text written across the windows and doors of a bookshop in Martigny. A charming little town with mountains at the end of every street.

Poor little Duckies don't know which way to go to get off the dashboard.

Caught on Nancy Pelosi Drive on our way to the de Young Museum.

First labtest video throught 8mm film port and camera optics. Image is 90 degrees rotated, so that up is to left. Whole another suprise is that the image is mirrored!

Utata ~ Weekend Project ~ "Minimalism"

"Strip it back, pick out the detail and show off your subject in minimalist beauty. Decide on what you want to show and eliminate all non essential features from the shot.

"Our weekend projects encourage taking new photographs and you are allowed to submit (tag) up to six images. However, if you already have a perfect image that fits, you are allowed to tag it. That's one archival shot only (6 new or 5 new and 1 archival).

"Feel free to post ONE of your submissions in this thread in the small size. If you have any questions about this project please ask them here too.

"Remember, you don’t have to take your Weekend Project photo on a weekend. You can take it on any day of the week."
