Breakfast @ "The Plain".
The cafe's own spin off the good old "Eggs Benedict" - "Poached Eggs with Smoked Salmon, Hollandaise & Ikura on Multigrain Toast". I added a serving of avocado just to oomph up my omega-3 intake for the morning.
The Ikura was a fine touch, adding those little explosions of marine brininess and brightening up the taste of the smoked salmon. The poached eggs were done well; runny and rich and the multigrain toast amply crunchy without being burnt but in all honesty, I still prefer my toasted muffins ala Eggs Benedict any day!
