El entusiasmo que tiene la chica para poder tocar el auto que lo mira fijamente y con gran asombro.

Roger was peeking out the front door. I thought the plain white door & door casing looked a little, well, plain so I added the peeling paint texture. I only took 2 quick shots & the other one was even more out of focus than this one

For FlickrBingo3 week32.

RACK as in bicycle rack = STÄLL som i cykelställ

The word RACK must be related to the Swedish RÄCKE (=railing/fence). Both referring to items with several parallel bars.

I amused myself by image Googling räcke and staket - confirming my impression that the former usually has more air in it.

On my card:

Bubbles are for girly-men!

silly... I know... but I was desperate for inspiration, and getting rather goofy in front of the camera.

strange thing is, this gives me warm fuzzies... as my grandmother "taught" me how to do this, at a White Salmon football game (of all places!) I know that my little sister got the same lessons... and I wonder if any of the rest of the cousins got the opportunity...

I wish I'd gleaned more from that wonderful woman (ftr: I did glean more than just this parlor trick... promise!)

Hazel is about to give Perryn a big sloppy dog kiss. I tried to take a photo with the bright sun behind them and you have no idea how many failures there were. They just went all milky and then when I adjusted the exposure the flare lights disappeared but I still liked this one, so here it is guys. For week #32, Against the light. And day 241 of 365

I made a Starbucks run, bringing everyone their favorite drink then tossing the carrier to the boys, who happily laid there and shred it to pieces.

This is obviously an iPhone happy-snappy.

I really liked the angle the floor/wall made.

Just try to not look at the carpet, which is slated to be replaced... someday.

Week 32 of 52 in 2013. The theme is IN MOTION. The Norfolk Southern train was in a hurry as it went by the station at a high speed without stopping. I like how you can see the flare of the rising sun through this freight car as the train passes by the station.

This week's theme was: Against the light / Flare

Everyone else is posing lovely flares against the sun, but our weather just wasn't cooperating. In fact it's been so gloomy that I've started using my SAD lightbox again. I therefore played around with photographing a plastic water bottle against the light of the lightbox and I hope this is OK for the theme, even though it was taken indoors.

I went down to the harbour today in the hope of finding some flying birds, or swans stretching their wings.. And sat for a while taking in all that was happening.

Then I saw these children dodging the waves as they came in and decided they were a lot more fun than any bird for my shot!

And it would appear that I wasn't the only one fascinated by their antics!

Lucky Bucket's Oktoberfest. First time bottled. Very yummy.

If you read the entry at the photo above, you'll know that every time Anton and I have to separate for a few days / weeks, we don't feel that great about it.

I need to go to Spain. Family duty. And I will have to leave those beautiful eyes looking sad and missing me like I'll miss him.

This photo is NOT Photoshopped. It was taken with my 3Gs iPhone as a double exposure using a Beta app I'm testing called MULTIPLE EXPOSURE, in its black and white setting.

I've been behind, I know... but I'll post 2 this week to sort of make up for it.

I had this idea a few weeks ago anyway just never took it. Yes, the gun was safely unloaded (and went back in the gun safe). I inherited several handguns from my father. This is a Smith & Wesson 45 revolver.

Inspired by these movie posters...

Taken for 7DoS Love or Loathe, Focus Friday. I think marmite probably falls into the "Loathe" category but some might disagree! :-) I used an ordinary table lamp, turned on its side, for focussed lighting and if you look closely you will see a reflection of the jar in the blob of marmite :-)

Week 32 of 52 Weeks for Dogs for my Zooie.

I chose this photo for Zooie's 52 Weeks for Dogs photo because it shows another wonderful aspect of his personality. I am very fortunate that I have four dogs who are all very good about sharing bones and toys. Zooie allows the other dogs to lay down right next to him while he chews on his bones, He never growls. When he is finished he gets up and the next dog gets the bone (even though we have plenty of bones around, of course they always want the same one). I've even seen Zooie pass the bone to one of his "brothers" by pushing it over with his nose. As you can see, Colby is right in the mix. Zooie has been perfect with the little fuzz ball. No aggression what-so-ever. I know I say this a lot but I am truly blessed.

P.S. I had to change Zooie's vet appointment to this coming Monday. I'll be sure to post what my vet says after the appointment.

Hubo un encuentro de autos antiguos. Donde con mi amiga Monica Etcheverry fuimos y fotografíamos estas bellezas.

There was a meeting of old cars. Where with my friend Monica etcheverry went and photographed these beauties.

it has been a strange week, last week we attended an excellent music festival in Cardigan, Wales. then on sunday night i got a phone saying my mum had been rushed to hospital. in the chaos i forgot my camera so this weeks photo is the taken on the short walk from venue to our hotel (home for the weekend). My mum is now home with a shiny new pacemaker fitted. She seems very well.

I realized on Saturday night I had not taken a 52 Weeks shot. So before we went to a poker tourney we ran out into the backyard of Dave's dad+stepmom and I snapped this. I forgot how lush and green the Pac NW is, and I would be lying if I said I didn't miss it. I always said if I left Colorado it would be to go to the Pac NW (even before NYC) but I'm not goin' unless Dave is goin', so my guess is not to think about it for about 11 more years ;-)

I wanted to try the Duotone technique for last week's CWD assignment, and the sad thing is if I had taken a small amount of time to edit I woulda got one in! But come on, I was on vacation, why would I think about CWD? :-)

This is the last of my orange themed photos. Veronique's top is stolen from South Beach Best Models and is undoubtedly one of my most favorite fashion doll outfits - just had to feature it during orange week :)).
