Hey all! I am sorry I haven't been around since so long... my summer course leaves me no time!
But I tried to find the time to design this layout for my website... I do like this layout quite a lot, took me days to compose. I will make it functional once my summer course is over, and I will try and put the page up online soon after that :)
I am looking forward to comments and suggestions about the design from all of you...
And you could also help me with suggestions of good and economical domains.
Lots of love to all of you...
I will drop by on your streams to say hello and catch up with posts that I have missed since so long!
Till then, wishes for a great summer!
Some sweet things my friends had to say about my work :)

english
Tervuren is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the villages of Duisburg, Tervuren, Vossem and Moorsel. On January 1, 2006, Tervuren had a total population of 20,636. The total area is 32.92 km², which gives it a population density of 627 inhabitants per km².
The official language of Tervuren is Dutch. Local minorities consist primarily of French speakers and nationals of many countries of the European Union, the USA, and Canada. The reason for this diverse mix of nationalities is the presence of expatriate workers and their families working in and around Brussels, usually either for the European Union, NATO or for multinational corporations. The British School of Brussels has been located in Tervuren since 1970.
Tervuren is one of the richest municipalities in Belgium. It is linked to Brussels by a large processional avenue (Tervurenlaan/Avenue de Tervueren) built by king Leopold II for the Universal Exhibition of 1897. This interweaves with a combined heritage and commuter tramline. Until 1959 Tervuren was also served by an electric railway, whose disused terminus opposite the Royal Museum for Central Africa is now a pub named the Spoorloos Station (Trackless Station).
History
For centuries people thought that Tervuren was the same place as "Fura", where Saint Hubert (Hubertus) died in 727 AD. There is, however, no historical proof of this.
A document dating from 1213 AD proves the presence of Henry I, Duke of Brabant, possibly in a wooden fortification. This evolved in the castle of Tervuren, the residence of the dukes of Brabant in the 14th and 15th centuries. The castle was demolished in 1782 under Joseph II.
Tram 44, which travels between Brussels (Montgomery) and Tervuren (and the Royal Museum for Central Africa) exists because of Leopold II's desire to bring visitors from around the world to his 1897 exhibition of the Congo.
Culture
The Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA) is an ethnographical and natural history museum. It focuses mainly on the Congo, Belgium's former colony. However, some aspects (especially regarding to biological research) extend to the whole of the Congo River basin, Middle Africa, East Africa and West Africa. It was at first intended purely as a colonial museum, but after 1960 it became more focused on ethnography and anthropology. Like in most museums, there is both a research department and a public exhibit department. Despite its name, not all research pertains to Africa. For example, there is research going on into the archaeozoology of Sagalassos. Some researchers have strong ties with the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The museum is surrounded by gardens, with the biggest giant redwood in Flanders, and a large park with lakes. St Hubert Chapel is located at the west end of the park.
Tervuren Library (Gemeentelijke Openbare Bibliotheek Tervuren - GOBT) is situated at Vandersandestraat 15. It contains around 43,300 printed documents, and 886 DVDs.
Tervuren is twinned with Dachau, Oosterbeek (in Renkum) and Kloster Lehnin.
Português
Tervuren é um município da Bélgica localizado no distrito de Leuven, província de Brabante Flamengo, região da Flandres.

USING OUR PHOTOGRAPHS - A QUICK GUIDE
Can I use these photographs directly from Flickr on my social media account(s)?
Yes - of course you can! Flickr provides several ways to share this and other photographs in this Flickr set. You can share to: email, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, LiveJournal, and Wordpress and Blogger blog sites. Your mobile, tablet, or desktop device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.
We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.
This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.
I want to download these pictures to my computer or device?
You can download the photographic image here direct to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. However - look for a symbol with three dots 'ooo' or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.
I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?
If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.
Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.
In summary please remember when requesting photographs from us - If you are using the photographs online all we ask is for you to provide a link back to our Flickr set or Flickr pages. You will find the link above clearly outlined in the description text which accompanies this photograph. Taking these photographs and preparing them for online posting does take a significant effort and time. We are not posting photographs to Flickr for commercial reasons. If you really like what we do please spread the link around your social media, send us an email, leave a comment beside the photographs, send us a Flickr email, etc. If you are using the photographs in newspapers or magazines we ask that you mention where the original photograph came from.
I would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?
Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.
We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

On the website of Couchsurfing I read a message about the Museum Night in Antwerpen. I needed a weekend break with no renovation works in the house and wanted to do something cultural with Eva. So we contacted the man who had written the posting, to see if he could host us. We were the only ones who had responded so we could stay at his place. We took the train and arrived in the evening. The museum were pretty crowded, with 11.000 other visitors, resulting in a total of 40.000 visits to 15 different museums. Our Couchsurfing host served us a soup and then we started our “night”. We enjoyed the secrets of the Maagdenmuseum and learned about the history of a school for young girls. Afterwards we went to the Museum Mayer Van den Bergh where we were amazed by the passion of Fritz Mayer Van den Bergh. On his own he collected hundreds of paintings, drawings and sculptures. We finished our evening in a local pub where I tasted some typical Belgian beer. Before going to sleep I took the opportunity to take a steam sauna in Emiels bathroom. After a late breakfast we walked through old Berghem, the famous Cogels-Osylei and we had a drink on the terrace of Den Draak, and then it was time to catch the train back home.
medievalpoc: Jose C. Roza Masquerade Nuptuale and Portrait of Siriaco Portugal (1788) The website that came along with this submission is in French, and although I don’t really know French, I did the best I could with the names, birthplaces, and descriptions of the people who are in these portraits: Martinho de Mello e Castro, black native of Bahia, sent by the governor and captain-general of Pernambuco, José César Menezes, who arrived in 1787. He is 14 years old. Dona Roza Corazon de Jesus, aged 18, from Horguetta (?) She was sent to the court by José Gonçalves da Conaro, then Governor of Angola and arrived in this city on September 7, 1781. She is famous for her face that combines vivacity, wisdom and grace that adds to her attractiveness. Don Pedro, black native of Luanda, capital of the kingdom of Angola. He was sent to the court by the governor who was Baron Mossamedes. He is between 30 and 40 years old, recognizable in this portrait because of his unusual face. Marcelino de Tapuia, from Mariuá sent by Martinho Souza e Albuquerque, the then governor of Pará; he is 26 years old. Donna Anna Rio de Sena. She was sent to Portugal by Antonio de Mello y Castro, governor and captain general of Mozambique. She arrived in June 1787; she is 17 years old. Dom José, native Maruide, aged 30: happened in Rio de Janeiro and from there to the court where it arrived December 24, 1786, sent by the viceroy of the states of Brazil, who was Luiz de Vasconcellos e Souza. Siriaco, from Cotingiba where he rose to Bahia and from there sent to the Portuguese Court by Dom José Rodrigo de Menezes e Noronha who was then the Governor and Captain General [Bahia]. He is 12 and came to this court July 1786; exceptional and famous accidents of complexion can be seen in his portrait. Sebastian, a native of Rio Sena where he was sent to Portugal by the then Governor and Captain General Mozambique Antonio de Melo e Castro, arrived in July 1787 and he is 31 years old. The second portrait is of Siriaco on his own, minimally clothed to show his complexion. I’d encourage any readers who speak French or Portuguese to check out the site and hopefully do a better translation than I’m capable of. The names, ages, and birthplaces should at least be correct. 18th c portrait of Siriaco, African boy with vitiligo. Also portraits of people of colour who were dwarfs at the Portuguese court in the late 18th c., including Dona Roza, favourite of the Portuguese queen. alienor.org/publications/mascarade-nuptiale/negre-pie.php

Graphic identity, website and logo design for Schaltraum Architects from Hamburg, Germany. A minimalistic black and white layout that uses a lot of white space creates a professional appeal and provides an effective stage for Schaltraum’s glossy architectural images.
The website is designed using a strict grid that leaves a lot of space for big images.
Text boxes that pick up a color from the image next to it liven up the look of the pages.
Website design by Philipp Zurmöhle, programming by slim | schütze lorth interactive media.
In an architectural groundplan a “Schaltraum” (german) is a room that can be assigned to different usage purposes. The turned letters L and T in the logo visually create this room and subtly show the versatility of the studio.
The stylized measurement line is used as a graphical element that interacts with the logo.
